Quick Holiday Tip

From this week's AEzine:

Holidaytip

Are you paying attention to your mailbox this month? Take a closer look. One thing I have been noticing big time around here are VERY COOL holiday promotions, catalogs, and flyers - all things that can be chopped up and made into cool stuff. As usual, I am on the lookout for words - words that can be cut out and used as accents on my holiday projects.

Great idea -- I'm clipping for the photos, but clipping for the phrases is something I've never thought of. Now, I'm going to pay a little more attention! Thanks for the tip, Ali!

Santa with a beer. That rocks.
You should try the holiday brew from McMenamins - Its called "Kris Kringle" I think. It comes in a cool mason jar that I filled with ribbon when it was gone :)

I've been noticing. Just ripped out a cool ad from Ann Taylor's latest mailing.
    It says in lovely script:
    Give love
    receive joy
    give joy
    love style
    love to be surprised
    surprise someone you love
    give color
    receive light
And all that is said in a very cool little way on the ad that me typing out does absolutely no justice. Except that the words are really cool.
    keeping my eyes peeled!

I've been doing the same thing! They are perfect for collage, and also great ideas for layouts and color combos.

Wow, it's a shame we don't get much holiday promo stuff here in Holland. Looks so cool!
If someone here doesn't like the promo materials and is looking for a place to dumb them: please do so in my mailbox :D
