Christmas Art Journal Days 8 + 9
Tags:Just catching up with the days I missed last week. A simple one and then one that is a little less restrained.
Created the photo gathering in Photoshop and then printed it all out together.
Decorative tape at the top and bottom from Heidi Swapp. Alphabet patterned paper from Mustard Moon. Clip on top from Lil Davis. Word stickers from Making Memories.
Loved my bookbinding class today. It was just the basics but cool enough to get me inspired to sign up for the next class which gets into more hardbinding techniques. Nice to be the student for a change.

Glad to see I wasn't the only one who scrapped with the cool "it only happens once a year" cardboard piece from Starbucks. I actually saved a few of them and used on cards too. Love it. Awesome when creative minds thinks alike.
Happy Holidays to you and yours!

Your art journals are all so, so, so wonderful, I love to look at them, I agree with everyone who used the word "inspirational" to describe you!

Ah, the memories of our Seattle shopping adventures -- they will live on forever.
I loved reading this, Ali! I love remembering the McDougall family Christmas traditions.
I hope to see you make a page about ornaments and taking turns hanging them on the tree
maybe you could use some of the pages from those little brown binders that mom had written down our ornaments in, who they were from, etc. (the original ones that she did that in.)
Thanks for sharing the Christmas spirit Ali!
Love
Jessica

Wow, totally love your work, Ali! I'm a 20 year old college student from the Philippines -- just wanted to let you know that your work inspires a lot of people, not just expert scrappers and moms in the States, but wannabe layout artists (haha, I wish!) halfway across the globe as well! :) Thanks for sharing all the great ideas and lovely work!

The "it only happens once a year" layout is very reminiscent, to me, of a Rebecca Sower layout. SO CLASSICLY individual and artistic. LOVIN IT, Ali.
