Tags:Working on a redesign for my CKU Week In The Life class. Design-wise I am focusing on trying to keep it simple but cool and flexible at the same time - having fun incorporating bits and pieces of all kinds of stuff. I want everybody to come in and feel comfortable yet challenged to try some new stuff and break out of their molds. That's what workshops are all about - a big part of the beauty of the experience. The first CKU of the year will be in Detroit in April - you can find more info on registering here. Will also be teaching this track in Anaheim, Nashville, and Orlando.
This is still one of my favorite projects. Tracking a week in your life is hard just because it takes so darn much time, but it is so worth it in the end. For the last two years I have done a full week and it is so cool to look back at all the little details that I would never have remembered if it were not for this scrapbook. Bits and pieces - the glorious goodness of our everyday existence.
Ah, the beauty.

It's killing me that you're in Detroit when I'll have a 3 month old. I just can't see trying to take a class with a kid dangling off my chest.
Tell that ol' CK to ask what works for me next time, hey?

I took your class in Chicago last year and it was such a challenge to track the week but great to look back on. ( I was one of the first to finish in the class- I'm sure you remember, Ha! Ha!) I got some extra pages for my album so I can do another week this year. Is the "Monday" on your photo an overlay? Looks great. Love the paper colors.

Hi Ali -
Love the idea of this album, but CKU doesn't come to MN often...is this a class that will be offered online at some point??

I'm so bummed that I cannot create another "week" album with you! After last year in Atlanta I want to do it every year! I LOVED every minute of it. Hmmm...maybe I'll collect the stuff anyway and try it on my own...but it won't be the same without you! Thanks for the constant inspiration!
You rock!
