Projects.
Tags:I am thinking about projects today.
Looking for my list (or, ahem, lists) that I have been keeping which details my thoughts on what I want to do next: projects, art, organization, and long term stuff. Anyone else like me and have way too many places you stash lists? Just a few minutes ago I counted six blank notebooks that have about 10 pages full of different stuff in each one. Seriously, one would be good.
I'll just put that on my to-do list to tackle today.
Finishing up my CK column for August. Picking up the piles of stuff that have accumulated during the past three weeks. Working on another issue of the newsletter (it has been way too long). Keeping the laundry going. Getting the rest of those layouts in albums. Writing a FAQ for this blog. Thinking about drawing and working with fabric and painting. Considering a garage sale.
I have pretty much fallen off the wagon on the 365 project. Considering doing some smaller 30 day photo projects like Amanda did a few months back. I like the idea of focusing on something specific and making a project out of that idea: like choosing a color, or macro shots, or found typography, or Simon's current antics. Andrea is great at that sort of thing as well.
What's your current project? Or what's at the top of the list for your next one?

While I don't often post here, I do read....I just had to respond to this. Recently I participated in Project Yellow that Anna Carson (http://annacpics.blogspot.com/) started. She just wrapped it up today, but is starting something new on Sunday. It was interesting to look for yellow in my life!

I'm definitely a "list maker" but at this point in my life... if it's not written down, I forget about it.
My current project is waiting patiently for our contractor to finish my DREAM craft room! In the meantime, I've been doing some mini books & a few LO's here & there.
In lieu of doing another garage sale, I've been having a LOT of luck selling things on craigslist.com. :-)
Have a great week!

Oh yay, a fellow multi-list person! After recently realizing that so many scattered to-do lists were actually hindering me instead of helping me (because, wow, it's amazing the places those little pieces of paper get tucked), I found some great advice in the Time section of Stephanie Denton's book, "The Organized Life". The one thing that really stood out was this: having one notebook for a "master to-do list", and a planner to schedule your days. So I've been using my planner (moleskine - love it!), and a clipboard for my general to-do list (which allows me to tuck in pieces of mail and such to get to later)...and am loving it. Definitely helping me feel less scatter-brained, and that's always good, right?
Look forward to seeing how your newest projects turn out...happy Wednesday! =)

it is so funny you mention book(s) of list. i was just thinking tonight while i was at a committment that i need to center all my thoughts, ongoing committments, future project plans, decor ideas into one spot. but i seem to never get to it.
me too...dropped the ball on 365...life is so intensely busy that that was the thing that had to go.
but things replaced that as well.
main project is the photo freedom goals. so happily turned on by what sj shares. it has been an awesome turn in my life art.
do you have turns in your creative endeavors? it actually sounds like you are going through one right now.
soooooo looking forward to a newsletter.
have you thought about an online class of your autism fundraising class?

I have notebooks everywhere in my house, my purse, my desk at work... I just tidied my scrap room and found at least 4 notebooks just like yours - with a few pages filled here and there. And for some reason, I can't be bothered to start at the beginning of the book - I just start writing wherever. Not sure why? I've always been a list maker, too.
Anyway, right now I'm in an organizing phase, so once that's done I'll probably start on a project I'm doing for my Dad's 60th birthday. It will be an album of family photos and letters from his eight children and fifteen grandchildren. His birthday isn't until December, but I am a terrible procrastinator so I thought I'd better start early!

Ah, so I am not the lone multi list maker, multi journal writer....Certainly we all have similar personalities and live our lives similarly. We are all probably busy, productive and doing all while trying to live and BE in the moment. That is why we write it down and move on......sometimes that place IS a napkin or the back of some junk mail......no wonder we have lists everywhere!
I feel relieved tho to know I am not alone, not the only one doing this...finding little journals partially used up. Lists upon lists all over the place.
If/WHEN you come up with the best plan, fill us all in, sounds like we could all use a little stramlining help!
Thank you Ali for always being an inspiration, for always inspiring and encouraging us to live our lives to the best!
Blessings!
Sherry

I was also working on the 365 day project and unexpectedly fell to pieces on it this week. It made me feel better that you lost track also! I did take some cool pictures that I wouldn't have otherwise so thanks for the idea!

My current project is creating a blog. It has been fun experimenting, playing, changing things up. It has a way to go, but it's a beginning. My to do project theme is: "being comfortable with imperfection". Basically, I will be creating 2 projects a week, it doesn't matter the size of the project as long as I stick to my theme goal. The blog is my first goal to being comfortable with imperfection. Not an easy thing. :)

Lists - yes! Projects to finish - yes! And I guess I always will have that's just me.
I started a photo a day project in April 2007. It was a challenge and I did miss some. I was in sight of the finish line when on March 22, I left my camera in a restaurant and when we went back to get it it had been stolen. I was really angry - not so much about the camera but the 20 days I had on it! I have got over it and decided to extend the project. Although it's hard making yourself take the shots, looking back on a year in pictures is wonderful. Friends and family love it too.

I have my list in my head so of course I always forget things. Right now I have no specific things to do, except housework, I just keep doing projets for the LSS I work at.

I keep lists...one at work in a notebook, one in the car (but that one gets done the day I do errands) and one by my craft area of pages I am going to do. I lost my list in the craft area and when I did a new one, I saw my perspective change on what I wanted to accomplish. THAT alone made me feel like I had done something!

I am a list maker too. I try to keep them all in my Franklin Planner, but even that has post-its sticking out all over the place of lists I have made. If you do have a garage sale will you post it on the blog? I am going to be in OR (from FL) visiting my family at the beginning of May and would totally try to come buy some of your wares!

Currently, I am trying to organize some layouts to submit them to Canadian Scrapbooker; then going to send away my Cover Layout submission to the same magazine. Want to also start some new, fresh layouts to submit to Scrapbooker of the Year. Wish me luck with my LIST!!!
