Three Things : Creative Books (+ a giveaway)

My favorite technique right now is painting around the focal point person on my photo. This allows the photo to mesh into the background. I also learned an easy way to put a zipper in the fly of some shorts I am sewing up for my daughter - favorite technique in sewing at the moment. =)

id have to say card making! ive taken a bit of a break from scrapbooking recently (for lack of printed pictures).

I've been playing with the new Chatterbox "Artsylicious" line. I've been using acrylic paints over the velvet embossed paper, gold embellished and other textured paper. After it sets for a bit, I sand away...love it! The lavender acrylic on the chocolate brown is my favorite so far!

I would love to win! Anything inspiring is always good. :)

My favorite technique right now has been large pictures with more journaling. I enjoy two page layouts with one really large picture, minimal embellishments, and a lot of journaling, usually in the form of a letter. Pictures are important, but the memories that go with those pictures are equally if not more important!

I've been dabbling in mixed media - inks, sketching, and collage!

A copy of 'taking flight' ... yes, please. My favorite technique right now is playing with white Acrylic ink on transparency. Second runner up - forming textural shapes with hemp twine. That's what i've been doing today. Thanks, Ali.

Want to have more time to do favorite? Painting with digital. Converting the print out to a scratch board technique.
Gotta raise those kids first thou, but that is the best form of art work in my book!!!

I would love to have or rather win this book. It would be an opportunity to expand my creative horizons.

i just love paint. on my scrappy stuff, on my canvas, and even when it ends up on my clothes. i just love paint.

I have been painting or stamping with random objects lately and have found a few favorites. I've had the AR book on my wish list for a while and Taking Flight also seems right up my alley.
Thanks for all the hard work and effort you put into your blog, your work, your books, your passion about it all is very inspiring.

right now it is home deco. normaly would say scrapbooking...but not today! i just finished moving around our bedroom furniture and making our room differet. great fun!

I am so thankful that I have found and embraced digital....I am still able to find some time for me by scrapbooking, and keep up with my hectic schedule that is my life.

I always use rubber stamping in some form or another.... of late I have been trying to do creative things with punches...I did a border recently on a scrapbook page using cut up portions of a circle punch out, and was really pleased with the result. Simple but effective, imo. (obviously I think this book would push me to different levels!!!)

I am still all about the scrapbooking. I haven't had much time to do it the past year or so, but I've recently gotten recharged and am really excited about this hobby again!

I'm really loving using watercolor painting on my layouts lately... just love the soft look it gives.
