Using my paper scraps is my frugal tip. Also, getting creative with my "outdated" supplies is another tip.
But, most of all I don't buy anything new until I have used a previous must-have.

I wish I could leave a "frugal" tip but instead, I love the look of inking the edges of paper to "age" them a bit. Doing that really does give a finished look, regardless of the paper, theme, etc.
Scrap Etc. sounds like a dream and would be an "easy" trip from Jacksonville - count me in!

Frugal tip...buy with a friend, split the cost and the product. Saves money and fewer unused leftovers.
I can attend the Scrap ETC event :)

My tip would be to print out your picture's as soon as you can because if your like me you will put them in a folder on your computer and have to spend countless hours hunting them. Thanks for the chance for a great giveaway. Jan

I don't really have a frugal tip, so here's my regular tip. :)
When I buy new paper, I match cardstock with it from my stash right away and put both cardstock & paper in a large zipper bag. I grab these bags when I go to crops & I don't have to bring all my paper & cardstock with me.

Wow, Ali...these are some awesome and very generous givaways...Thank-you for giving me a chance to win!
I do have a scrapbooking tip that I use quite a bit when dealing with my family heritage albums. I'm sure people have used this trick before: I find it helpful when dealing with old photos and album pages, to use waxed dental floss to slide down between the photo and paper to help remove the old photo without damaging it. I'm still in the process of rejuvenating all these albums but this trick hasn't failed me yet!
And yes, it would be very realistic for me to attend the Scrap Etc. event in Atlanta!! Thank's again!

what a great prompt!
frugal tip: i use the cardboard that is on the back of paper pack for lite chipboard shapes.
i also think it helps me to be more frugal if i don't save everything, but instead give it away. (my middle school students LOVE scrapbook stuff for their own creations/projects)
p.s.i would find a way to get to the event if i was so lucky to win!

Ali, you have the greatest giveaways!
I would love to be included in the scrap etc event drawing!
I'm trying to recycle packaging and everyday items I find around the house to use in my projects.
Plus I am planning a get together with friends where we can swap our extra supplies. At the end of the evening what ever is left will be donated.

My tip is... buy nothing. Just use the existing stash of scraps.

We all have way more stuff than we'll ever use, and by "going shopping" in our scrapbook space, we are bound to find some long forgotten product that can be put to good use.

To save money, I use the chipboard padding at the back of Legal/Notepads in artisan shapes to make fun mini-albums!

I got so excited about a chance to win the ScrapEtc event that I forgot to share my scrapbooking tip. To save money, once a quarter my two scrapbooking buddies and I go through our stash and have a swap meet. Literally. We end up saving so much money because we recycle each others' stuff. Doesn't matter if it's already opened, half used, scraps, etc. It's always fun and helps us keep our scrap spaces clean and organized.
Per my original post, I live in Atlanta and would love the opportunity to attend ScrapEtc.'s event. Thanks for the chance to win!!

ok, so my frugal scrapbooking tip is to use my son's preschool art projects as little pieces of "extra" when I need to embelish but don't have the right stuff and cannot go get it! I simply crop off scraps of his art on the edges where he doesn't notice anyway and then use this as backgrounds or punches or sewing spots. I would love that conference, but trying to be thrifty puts a dent in flying from so cal. to GA. But everything else looks amazing!

I save my scraps and try to punch out shapes. I am hopefully going to try to make more handmade cards.

Hi! Love the offerings today...I do adore vintage things. I surely could not afford the trip so congrads in advance to whoever wins that! I have many ways to be frugal ...I do the *save scraps n reuse* all the time; I also use packaging materials often (as shims for cuttlebug, the plastic as acetate, etc; my most fun frugal tip is to scrap at my sis's house. She has twice the stash I do and I really don't need to bring anything LOLOL..It's like a doubly free crop! Now don't tell her I said that, k? lol..ty for the chance, Cher

I'd love to go to the event...but it's a bit too far to travel from Sydney, Australia :) But I would LOVE to win the other prizes!
My tip is to only buy white, cream or clear embellishments and ribbon and change the colour to match your project using Copic markers. Although the initial outlay is expensive, they save lots of money in the long run (as well as storage space!) by only having to buy one colour of everything. The other benefit is that you wil always have perfectly matching (or contrasting) embellishments and ribbons....and in colours you want rather than just what you can buy :)
