I've just started keeping little things that catch my eye...a tag off of children's clothes or new shoes, cute gift tags, just bits and pieces here and there. Not only are they free - but they help tell MORE of our story!
Love your website, Ali!

I usually save all of my scraps to use on other pages, in home decor and to make cards. The Anniversary card that I gave to my hubby was all made from recyled goods... I'm saving money and I'm saving supplies... I love that!

use the outside part of the pop dots, the "negative". They work just as well!

I like the layered flowers made with CS & popdots, and embellished with glitter, ink, and other embellies. What I don't like is the price. I bought three flower punches in different sizes so that they could be "nested". Now I make my own layered flowers. It's amazing what you can do with a few simple supplies. You can layer the flowers differently, embellish them differently, curl the edges, leave them flat, use glittery or "bling" paper, age and distress them, or leave them pristine. Everything you change makes them a little bit different, and you can even use your scraps and leftover embellies to get flowers almost for free!

My tip...if you're going to scrapbook, you might as well make cards. It's a fun way try out techniques and combinations and is a great way to use up small scraps. The price savings of not having to go to Hallmark every month is wonderful!

Save those scraps!!! I find so much satisfaction from doing a whole layout or project without anything new. Just making use of scraps here and there to create something.
*I would try to make it to Atlanta if I won. :)

My frugal tip is to make my own chipboard letters and cutouts from the free chipboard I get with my paper from the scrapbook store.
I would love to be entered in the Scrap Etc drawing. I live in the Atlanta area and would be able to attend the event without any trouble.
Thanks for the chance to win.

My frugal scrapbook tip is to go back and finish all the unfinished scrapbook projects that you've started and just not yet finished.
This has been my year of finishing the unfinished. So far I've finished a Christmas journal, a believe book, covered 2 monogrammed letters, going to finish a puzzle swap that I've not finished my 2 pieces, and ready to finish my Oprah's favorite things book.
You've got the stuff, just get it done!

I would say buy your stuff after you have your pictures. When I used to shop without a plan it was easy to spend more.
I could make it to the event if you pick me.

I have 3 young girls so when I have lots of scraps and odds and ends I put them all into a box and they go crazy! My oldest uses them to make her own scrap memories. Would love to attend the event!

Please enter my in the giveaway and I could totally make it to Atlanta--especially for Jessica Sprague. I'm a huge fan and have taken many of her classes.
Being frugal (in scrapbooking anyway) is not my strong suit--this is my passion!! But my LSS has an annual garage sale so I try to purge and get rid of as much as possible at that annual event. I have found if I collect too much stuff I just freeze and I can't even think what to use first!

Great giveaways! My frugal tip is to scrapbook with friends. We take turns scrapping at each other's houses (so we're not paying to attend a crop event or tempted to buy supplies at a scrapbooking store!). We also share supplies and tools to save money.

I print my pictures at Costco - $0.13 each!! And their enlargements are even more of a good deal.

I try to use my scrap papers on my layouts. I go through them first before I cut patterned paper or cardstock. Also I use inexpensive white cardstock for my background then glue my patterned paper on top, so I don't cut and make more scraps.

I usually make cards rather than scrapbooks, and one of my favorite frugal tips is using pages from discarded vintage books in my designs. Thanks for the chance to win.
