My favorite tradition is Christmas morning breakfast. Even though we're grown and have moved away, we still go to Mom's on Chirstmas morning for breakfast + presents in our pajamas.

Sitting in the dark, watching the lights twinkling in our tree. Never get tired of that.

My favorite tradition started several years ago...my sister's family and my husband and I spend Christmas day together (rest of the family is across the state)...we started buying matching flannel pjs to lounge in all day on Christmas. My favorite years are the ones we got the GUYS to wear "matchers" -- hee!

I enjoy it all, especially the warm feelings that the holidays bring. Traditions include decorating the tree, baking, reading The Night Before Christmas and making a cake on Christmas for Jesus's birthday. I also like giving the kids a new pair of jammies for Christmas Eve, which makes for pretty pictures on Christmas morning!
Great giveaway!

Oh man, I've been coveting one of those gallery wrapped canvases for awhile now!
My favorite holiday tradition is baking chocolate chip cookies with my brother, on the day before Christmas, for all of our extended family & friends...as we've gotten older and busier (and farther away from home) the baking part has come increasingly down to the line, but we have a great time getting about 5 batches done before the Christmas Eve service, batting away the hungry hands of my sister and parents.

Our favorite is decorating the tree with ornaments from throughout the years--it's fun when the kids remember when they got a certain tree decoration.

Sinterklaas. In Holland we celebrate Sinterklaas (Sint Nicolas) on December 5th. Children get presents from Sint and his helpers (zwarte pieten) if they have been good. Grown ups give eachother presents with poems that highlight the receivers idiosynchrasies and some very creative wrapping (I made someone a rocket once, although sending someone on a treasure hunt is another popular option).

To bake gingerbread cookies with my children and my sister and her children is a wonderful Christmas tradition. We began to bake with our mother and then we continued. It's so fun to see the creativity of our children.

My favorite December tradition is everyone gathering at my parents home on Christmas eve for a big dinner and gift exchange. There are now over 40 of us! Right after dinner we all attend Christmas eve mass together and then go back for the exchange. Always lots of fun.

My favorite Christmas tradition is making cookies from my grandma's recipes, giving cookies for gifts and eating them. I want to make them every year, but not. I hope to make some more next year.

Our family tradition is touring lights on a very specific street that my husband asked me to marry him on just about 8 years ago now. It was a magical night!
