My fav tradition is placing our Christmas decorations that belonged to both my gandmothers out for display. We always put them out first with their pics. Miss them soooo much!

wow. i have to pick just one!? i suppose my favorite is gathering at Grandma's house on Christmas Eve, seeing family i haven't seen since the last Christmas Eve and just sharing stories.

Making and decorating gingerbread houses--have been doing it since 1973 when my oldest child was four. Continuing now with grandchildren.

I love the tree and looking at lights, but my favorite is our Christmas Eve fondue dinner - cheese, bread, potatoes, and champagne. You can't beat it!

My favorite Christmas tradition just started this year. Our only child is almost 3 and EVERY day she cannot wait until it is dark enough to "find Christmas"....look for Christmas lights.

My favorite december tradition is when everything is done: the gifts are completed and wrapped the house is decorated, there is something yummy baking in the oven and I am sitting on the couch curled up with my love and our two cats, sipping hot cocoa and watching Christmas movies! It's an added bonus if it is snowing :-)

My favorite tradition is reading the Christmas story right from the Bible before opening gifts. It's a time to slow down and reflect.

I love decorating the whole house as a family each December. In particular, getting out our Christmas Music Box collection and playing each song before putting them on display is a favorite. Each night we enjoy the sweet sounds of several music boxes. Hate putting them away!

My favorite is when we go home to VT and cut down our Christmas tree - and of course the hot chocolate after. Great giveaways!

Stocking stuffer shopping Christmas Eve. I can't wait to see Oliver's eyes this year! Last year, at 1.5 years, he didn't quite "get it". Game on this year!!!!

Baking Christmas goodies.

How can I narrow my whole month of December and the festivities and books and cookie baking down to one event?... I think it has to be the magic of Lewis Botanical Gardens lit up at night and the awe and joy expressed by the kids. The garden itself to my little Eden, all year around.

Our traditions cutting down a fresh tree, sending out a photo card of the kids and baking cookies with a close girl friend til our feet ache and we cant stand any longer.

One of our favorite traditions is the "elves" that Santa sends to our house on Dec. 1st. They go home when Santa picks them up on Christmas Eve...and do we have fun with them in the mean time. They get into lots of "trouble" making messes as they try to make cookies or pour cereal on their own. Last year, they took our car and "drove to Dunkin Donuts" while we were sleeping and when we opened the blinds that morning our car was parking practically sideways in the driveway, with the one elf "driving" and the other holding the goods. The kids laughed at how bad their driving skills were.

One of our favorite traditions is pajama shopping. My daughters and I set a date in December to go to the mall together to buy Christmas pajamas and eat dinner in a nice restaurant. It's a good break for us and a much-needed girls' night out!

One family tradition is the decorating of a gingerbread house that gets proudly displayed as the centerpeice of our table, and gets eated fairly quickly. It is a fun night when we all sit together and add the colorful candy and icing to our house.
