Sponsor Giveaways : Studio Calico, Memory Works, Lisa Leonard, & Designer Digitals

Three people will win the entire Home Front collection (papers, stickets, journaling cards, and FabRips) from Studio Calico.
The concept of Studio Calico began long before it was a reality. In 2000, while working at a local scrapbook store, April developed an appreciation for innovative supplies along with a respect for preserving memories. Thus, the concept of combining fresh products with non-traditional scrapbook supplies emerged.
At Studio Calico, we hope to encourage the creative process by providing the best supplies on the market as well as a community that is supportive every step of the way.
In the past 2 years we've grown from an idea, to a small boutique of sorts, to manufacturing our own products. As we've grown, we've stayed true to the basics, while looking to the future.

Three people will receive the lovely Word Of The Year necklace from Lisa Leonard Designs.
In addition Lisa is offering a discount for readers. Enter "myword15" for 15% off your purchase.

One person will receive the Life Documented kit from the new Simple Stories collection by MemoryWorks.
Your photos and memories are far too important to keep in a box, store on a computer or bury in a pile. We know life is busy and at times it feels nearly impossible to keep up with all of life's demands - yet alone find time for the things you enjoy like your scrapbook hobby and preserving your memories.
If you're overwhelmed with too many photos...
If you're feeling guilty for not being "caught up"...
If you're overloaded with creative pressure and unrealistic expectations...
If you're stressed because you don't have enough time to scrapbook...
If you don't know where to start...or worried if you can even keep up...
If you're frustrated with the process of traditional scrapbooking...
If you're looking for a better way...
Then you will love our simple and refreshing approach to scrapbooking!
MemoryWorks is beyond thrilled to introduce the new, exclusive Simple Stories scrapbook system. You can view our video here. Our innovative system was designed for scrapbookers of all levels who want to share their life stories and memories in a simple, yet meaningful, way - but without the time, guilt or stress of traditional scrapbooking.
Life Documented, the first collection in our Simple Stories series, is all about documenting a year in your life like never before. Our Life Documented kit allows you to share your story in a whole new way, while getting back to the basics of what scrapbooking is all about...your photos and memories. We've done all the work for you with our exclusive Simple Stories system - with beautiful pre-designed elements that you simply trim, add your journaling and then insert into pockets - along with your 4x6 photos - for quick and easy scrapbooking. No cropping. No adhesive. No stress. It's as easy as that - sharing your photos and memories has never been easier!
In addition to the giveaway here, we're giving away a FREE Simple Stories Life Documented kit, with coordinating divided page protectors and embellishments, a retail value well over $35. Visit www.mysimplestories.com for more details.

My one little word is COMMIT - I tend to jump here and there throughout my day not giving anything 100% of my attention. In 2010 I plan to commit to what I am doing 100% - so when my son wants to play I'll do that without thinking about the load of laundry I need to do... And so on and so on.

I already made a 12x12 layout about my word, Present. I want to be more present when I spend time with my girls - not thinking about anything else but enjoying my time with them. I also want to make a banner to hang in my scrap area all year. Thanks for the chance to win - this is my first year to choose a word!

My word is "leap." I am going to stop over thinking everything and start doing! Today I got up early and went for a hike with my dog then attended a new church closer to home which I ended up loving, and I signed up for the BPS class "Design your Life." All things I was thinking about doing for so long. Today I simply did them!
Happy New Year!

first, I plan as last year to do a journal page about the meaning of the work to me. I will look for "quotes" using it, and Bible verses that will help bring it to mean more to me. I like your idea from last year about cutting the word out of periodicals when I see it and pasting them on a page, so I'd like to do that. And I think I may have to order a necklace with my word on it!

My word is submissive. I want to be more submissive to word of the Lord as he leads my family. This wil be struggle for me, since I honestly only think of the Lord once I have "flubbed" something up :^)

That Studio Calico kit looks like so much fun and I love the jewelry from Lisa Leonard. I am actually still thinking about my word, I've come up with a few but just can't pin one down. Patience is high on my list.... so many good words!

I still haven't found my word yet, although I am leaning towards your word, "stories", as I was inspired by your post about the Storycatcher! Thanks, Ali!

My word for this year is HOPE..
I struggling with optimism and embracing change. It does not come easy for me and often comes with internal battles.
I HOPE to change some of that this year.
I am HOPEful that I can accomplish the things that I want to do to make myself a better, happier and more productive person.
I HOPE that I can do it slowly and effectively, doing only one thing at a time.
Remember Red, hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies." -- Andy Dufrense, The Shawshank Redemption
Thanks for letting me get these thoughts organize..even if I don't win, I get the reason why I chose this word for myself.

My word is WELLNESS. To kick off "my word", I am having hysterectomy - at the age of 35 - that will hopefully get me well again. After a crappy 2009, I need to be well for 2010 - mentally and physically.

Pursue is my word for 2010. I want to pursue all the opportunities that life has to offer. Specifically, I've always wanted to start running but never took the chance. This year, I've already registered for a St. Patrick's Day 5k race.
Happy New Year, Ali. Great sponsor gifts.

I think I am going to resolve to pick the word that keeps coming up over and over again instead of searching for the 'perfect' word this year. I keep finding myself coming back to the word FOCUS. I can see it's potential impact and I think I've decided to just let it happen. :-)
