Me, me, me! Now I have my teenage son who is taking AP Art who tends to take over my space too! Crazy but oh what fun!

I've been creating lately and my table looks just like yours right now!

YES! All the scrapbooking stuff wants to be used so it just keeps creeping closer and closer to your project! I "try" to clean up after every card or layout I make...try is the key word here!

Thanks for this!!! I don't feel so bad now. I have to move piles on my table just to clear space for my layout! Yikes!

I totally relate to this... my table always ends up like that, too... plus the floor around it and the extra chairs... I like to think it's because I'm so creative that it just spills from me and ends up as stacks of "stuff" all around me. HA!

Did you come to my house and take a picture of my work table!!! Yee gads how familiar is that, a tiny place to work on a 6' x 4' table top! The problem is that I am lazy and just do not take the time to put things away until I have zero space to work in and then I am like why didn't I put stuff away sooner? So glad not to be the only one who does that. My saying is that a neat desk is the sign of a sick mind.

Yes! Last night I moved myself off my 12x12 mess free space on my desk to a equally as tiny corner on my floor, hitting my head on the wall in the process. I find it so hard to clean up as I go from project to project. . .

Hi Ali -
Can't help laughing, I can so relate. I have 2 large Ikea tables over 5ft. each and they are covered with all kinds of things. Each time I clear them, they get filled up again. I've noticed whenever I come into the studio, that the area I actually work in is very small, about the size of my non-stick craft sheet or a self-healing mat. The surrounding area on the other hand, looks like fort walls - LOL!

Yup, I'm also one of those take-over-the-entire-table kind of people...hey, I think a messy desk means work is getting done!

LOL. I think all artists can relate. I knew a woman whose art room was bigger than my whole apartment and yet she still wound up working in a little 8 x 10" space on her desk. Everywhere else was covered with STUFF!
