It's finally here.
I'm beyond excited to introduce you to the new www.aliedwards.com.
On and off for the last year I've been working with Rubber Design and Studio Aluminum to create this new online home. (Rubber Design is the firm behind that great tooth fairy bag I've posted about previously.) They've both been great partners in this process.
One of the biggest changes you'll find is that there are now two blogs. The first, AE Blog, is where you'll find stories about daily living, inspirational links, thoughts on scrapbooking & creativity, workshop & event updates, giveaways, etc. The second blog, AE Projects, is where you’ll find completed scrapbook layouts, memory projects, step-by-step written and/or video tutorials, product updates, etc. Use the drop-down Archives by Category over on the left to view posts by a specific category.
An almost-complete portfolio of many of my layouts and projects can be found under the About Ali tab along the top navigation by clicking on Portfolio. There's a new Shop link along the top that will take you to my products at Designer Digitals, Technique Tuesday, and Big Picture Scrapbooking. Eventually when I get those PDF's of my books done you'll be able to purchase them there.
There's definitely still some adjustments going on behind the scenes. There are links within the site on older posts that are in the process of being updated and forwarded to the right location.
I'm giving myself some room to grow and expand. Thanks for continuing to read, to support, and be a part of this journey.

It looks gorgeous! VERY elegant.
I do agree, though, with Amanda, that the contrast isn't sharp enough for my aging eyes. I don't want to use google reader because I love all the extras on people's sites. Just a tad darker font?

Guess...I am the only one who doesn't like it---or am the only one brave enough to say so! Much preferred...the old blog-easier to navigate--not so much "stuff"/extra clicks to sort through...sigh.

It took me awhile too Sharon. One of my biggest goals was to get the content I already have from the last six years more organized. It's more of a "site" now than just a blog. I felt the need to spread my wings a bit more. You can also choose to subscribe to the RSS feed and receive the content in your email or in your feedreader to simplify things. Completely appreciate the feedback and hope you'll give it a chance to grow on you.
Sharon, you're not alone - that is my first reaction exactly. I'm hoping after playing around, I'll find a new "routine" with this that works just as well. Ali, thanks for your reply; as always it helps to see it from your side.

I love it, like all new things, it takes time to get used to the "newness" and find where everything is but I love the look and feel of the new site. I am finding things easier to located. Feels so organized, which I love. Everyone involved in its creation has done an awesome job. I am glad you are wanting to spread your wings - I for one support that 100%. just love your style and encouragement (and kathy z, love her too). keep it up.

We totally could be a fan club.....I realized last night about an hour after my post that I spelled Cathy Z with a K....whoooops, but you new exactly who I was referring to.
