It's finally here.
I'm beyond excited to introduce you to the new www.aliedwards.com.
On and off for the last year I've been working with Rubber Design and Studio Aluminum to create this new online home. (Rubber Design is the firm behind that great tooth fairy bag I've posted about previously.) They've both been great partners in this process.
One of the biggest changes you'll find is that there are now two blogs. The first, AE Blog, is where you'll find stories about daily living, inspirational links, thoughts on scrapbooking & creativity, workshop & event updates, giveaways, etc. The second blog, AE Projects, is where you’ll find completed scrapbook layouts, memory projects, step-by-step written and/or video tutorials, product updates, etc. Use the drop-down Archives by Category over on the left to view posts by a specific category.
An almost-complete portfolio of many of my layouts and projects can be found under the About Ali tab along the top navigation by clicking on Portfolio. There's a new Shop link along the top that will take you to my products at Designer Digitals, Technique Tuesday, and Big Picture Scrapbooking. Eventually when I get those PDF's of my books done you'll be able to purchase them there.
There's definitely still some adjustments going on behind the scenes. There are links within the site on older posts that are in the process of being updated and forwarded to the right location.
I'm giving myself some room to grow and expand. Thanks for continuing to read, to support, and be a part of this journey.

Hoping it will grow on me But I will say that I Do Not like the "continue reading" that has to be clicked to see the whole post. There are some other sites that I visit that have that and I just don't like it.
I can understand that you are wanting to Expand and that is a good thing.

love the new site, ali!!! two blogs = more fun to readers! can't wait for the books to be available in PDF formart - still don't have "designer’s eye 2". and the stamp kit club is a great idea! i've just mailed technique tuesday, begging them to include brazil on the international shipping list. love your portfolio, too! great source of inspiration. congrats!!!

Your new home looks great and I'm anxious to explore in more detail. First impression...the gray font is hard to read, hard on the eyes...can you change it to something easier, like good ol' black?

I love the fresh, clean look of the new site and have got both rss feeds in my reader now. However, I find the blinking ads a real distraction - have nothing against ads per se, in fact, I find them useful and often click through. But I could really do without the constant flashing to the right hand side. Maybe I'm alone in this, in which case, now I've had my two penn'orth, I'll go back in my box ;-)
BTW, I too used to have grey on white text and had several comments about the legibility from visually impaired readers.

Basically, I love the new site in terms of navigation, etc.. However, I can barely read the light gray type. I tried changing the brightness on my monitor, but that didn't work either. I'm squinting even as I type this and am so sad that I won't be able to check in as often. Good luck with it though!

I love the new site! The only thing I'm not thrilled about is the yellow on gray. It's a litte hard to read or is that just the overhead lighting in my office? That's what I get for slacking at working, I guess!

Hi Ali,
Love the new site! I have to agree with the other two comments, though, and request a slightly darker color for the text. I have to strain a bit to read it, and don't want to have to go to RSS feed because I love to see everything on the site itself.
Looking forward to following all of your new adventures...in your new home and with the new site. Congrats!
