December Daily 2010 | Day Twenty-Two
Tags:Welcome to Day Twenty-Two!
As we get close to Day 25, I think this is the first year that I've actually kept up with this project throughout the whole month.
In the past I've usually ended up posting a few days at a time as I played catch-up. It's been easier for me this year because (1) we've been home the whole time (meaning no travel) and (2) my work schedule has been more consistent than in past years. I'm thankful it's been this way this year as I know it won't be the same each year in the future - some years we travel, some years there are lots more things going on, etc.
I think so much of this project is simply about finding a way to make it work for you and your schedule and your life...and understanding that the story you tell each day doesn't have to be about the holiday.
Enlarged photo on page one is a photo of some candy for graham cracker houses. Pen used here is the Sharpie Poster-Paint Marker extra fine in white.
Page two today is a photo of Anna + Simon at the park.
Katie had taken them out to play and sent me this image via email. I decided to use the stamp filter in Photoshop (go to Filter/Sketch/Stamp). With one click it takes your photo from whatever came out of your camera to something like this (I had grey as my foreground color and white as my background color).
Around the photo I drew a frame and wrote "thankful for life...thankful for health...thankful for love."
To create the hole for the Snow Globe Sticker from K&Company I punched a hole with the blue Marvy circle punch.
I did the same thing with the pattern paper along the bottom.
The circle accent is a Snow Globe Sticker from K&Company. I've been wanting to use one of those all month.
SUPPLIES : Ali Edwards 2010 6×8 December Daily overlays; Snow Globe Sticker from K&Company; blue Marvy circle punch; The Girls Paperie Festive Brocade Pattern Paper; Sharpie Poster-Paint Markers extra fine white

love today. I'm so way behind. Missing days, but just did today, but missing the last 10 days. I will complete it before 1/1/11, at least that's my goal. I look so forward to your daily inspiration, thank you.

"Save as" will save your project as a new file, so you can rename it and your original will remain unaltered. If you're applying a fancy filter like what Ali did, I would definitely use "Save as"! :) Hope that helps!
yes, that does help alot! thanks heather, cant wait to give it a try!

LOVING all of these pages. Keeping it simple and telling the stories. Love it. Those pens make an amazing impact and love that you mix fonts with your handwriting.
Do you mind sharing the place that you got that divided dish? That is beautiful! Looking forward to seeing your Christmas Eve and Day pages!
