I couldn't wait to see your post today for your sweet birthday girl. I love love reading what you write about her. She is so sweet and funny and happy. Happy Birthday to Anna and even to you Ali, how wonderful that you get to experience raising an awesome son and now a sweet girl. Love her in the vest with her hands in the pockets even how adorable is that. My daughter turned 14 yesterday so it helps me remember her toddler days by reading about Anna. My daughter had a teletubby birthday theme and loved it and her first little table and chairs which she was so happy about and sat there for hours doing her puzzles and coloring. Thank you Ali for sharing this sweet girl with us. Have a wonderful birthday with her and hope yesterday's "bonus day with mom and Anna went well for you"...

I have been touched by your posts the last few days. I too have a child with a learning disability. We found out about it in her 1st year of college. It is difficult to come to grips with the fact that we (my husband and I) don't have the child we thought we had. We have struggled with this, mourned over it, and found hope in her doing her best and finding happiness. Thanks for your comments about both your children, they are very uplifting.
