GIVEAWAY | Three people will receive spots in Mary Ann Moss's online class Remains Of The Day.
Remains Of The Day is the antidote for all of those paper scraps that keep multiplying in your favorite scrap box and clogging up your artistic super highway. In this process AND project oriented class we’ll be constructing a shabby but sturdy journal (like this one) using all of that paper you’ve been hoarding. Ordinary life never looked better than seen through the pages of this stitched up journal of scraps.

Wow, its something I hate to do, but I start by de cluttering a small area and having two to three boxes on hand -- one for stuff to toss, one for stuff to put in its right place and one for goodwill..

spring cleaning - clean a room a day from top to bottom and within a week you house is spotless - remember to use - murphy oil soap - everywhere - even to dust - just ring out the wash cloth completely.

I like to get all the screens in the windows and let the sun and air just stream in. It is still cold here in New England. This class looks great! I certainly have tons of supplies that i have hoarded!

Once a week I try and tackle one job at a time ie: clean all the fans, or wipe down all the doors or clean the skirting boards or clean out a cupboard. Like I said.......I TRY..... LOL

My plan is to clean just one cupboard or drawer a day and get rid of expired or old items. My youngest child is 15, I don't think I need sippy cups any more!

Spring and Esater are my favorite time of year. I love opening the windows, spring flowers. Don't do too much spring cleaning...per se. Just love decorating with the new light colors of spring!!

I'm not great at spring cleaning, chaos seems to be more my thing - would rather be scrapbooking... but just now I'm working in blocks of 15 minutes. Set the timer and spend 15 minutes in one area/room. Its amazing what you can do in 15 minutes. Its getting stuff done that otherwise wouldn't have been done.

My fave spring cleaning tip is to check out the closets and clean accordingly. Every. Single. Closet!! Sounds like a chore, but so worth it in the end.

I pack up my winter clothes and stow them out of sight. That is how I welcome spring with open arms and free up some space in my closet to boot.

Every year pretend like you're moving and get rid of anything that doesn't fit in a small Uhaul. :D

My favorite cleaning tip is the windows first. (Clean with warm water and a little anomia(lemon scent) and vinger. I use cloth diapers to wash and wipe.) with sparkly windows, the rest is easy.

Not saying I do it, but...start in one room and STAY in that room till you get it done, then and only then move on to another room.

My biggest spring cleaning tip is to choose a room and complete it before beginning another project. When in doubt, toss rather than keep and just keep moving forward. I love the give away! I definitely have a huge pile of scraps that can be recycled into new projects :)

Set a timer! Since I'm not a motivated-to-start kind of cleaner, I just set a timer for about 20 minutes and tell myself that I just need to clean for that long. By the time the timer goes off, I'm enjoying the process and seeing a hint of the result and before I know it I'm turning off the timer to keep cleaning.

Opening the windows and using lavender and lemon essential oils to wipe everything down. Ah...

I too break my spring cleaning into sections. One weekend, I clean out a couple closets - hall and clothes. Then a run to the donation store, so that I can get it out of the house. The feeling of lightness as the relief of less stuff, motivates me to the next project. I then wipe out the drawers in the kitchen and straighten them. I give myself a certain period of time, set the timer and when it goes off wrap it up and finish for the day. This way it does not seem to overwhelming. If I do this 4 x in a month I find I get alot done.

My favorite spring cleaning tip -- changing over the closets from fall/winter to spring/summer attire. This also allows me to sort through things that weren't worn the previous season, and then to donate them.
