Best tip? (Other than getting my husband to do it?! ;) ) Little and often. It's rare that I get the urge to spend a whole day cleaning and tidying (like, never) but I can handle doing a certain amount every day for as long as it takes :)

My favorite room to "freshen up" is the kitchen. I go through each cabinet and remove any outdated food items and toss. Then I donate to a local food drive any items I have not used in the past 6 months. It's amazing what you can find that has migrated to the back of the cabinets!

Spring Cleaning? That's a tough one! LOL My personal tip would be not to argue too much with the husband. When he says to clean the windows, just do it! If not, he's just going to hit the Repeat button!

One room at a time... I sell Norwex which is a chemical free cleaning company and it makes cleaning so easy. One step cleaning. Oh and purging... I try to use the rule if I have not used it in 6 months.. it goes.. Easier said then done sometimes.

I try to start small..either one room or one closet at a time. If I don't have time I'll even just start with one thing at a time. Shoes, clothes, toys, scrapbook supplies, the junk drawer in the kitchen...etc

Audio Books - the secret to any household task, especially those that would usually be avoided at all costs. Find the right book, with the right narrator and the time just flies. And if you're really lucky, once you finish one project, you'll jump right in and start another one just so you can continue listening to the story.

My favorite spring cleaning tip isn't really about cleaning things, it's about cleaning the winter air out of the house - I open the windows wide (even on a chilly day) to let in the fresh breezes of spring. Always makes me feel great!

Don't do it all yourself. Involve the whole family. Go out for pizza after it's over, reward good attitudes and going the extra mile. Make it fun.

I don't specifically do spring cleaning, but I do try to go through clothing and anything that hasn't been worn for a year goes to Goodwill. I currently have three big trash bags of items to go. And, don't forget to itemize them for tax write-off!
