My kids make handmade cards and a little gift. I always tear up reading their precious cards. We usually have a picnic or if the weather isn't cooperating, we go to dinner. My mother passed away a few years ago so it is a bittersweet day for me as I so wish I could share in the day with her.

Like most I love the handmade cards and gifts but most of all I love that extra bit of love they give me on this day and seeing the excitment and love in Patrick & Charlotte's faces when they bring me the homemade cards and gifts and that extra tightness to the hug and the extra mmmmwaaa when they give me a kiss.

I Usually have a Mother's Day Brunch for my mother, sister and some of my aunts/cousins and it's the time spent together. My mother loves tulips and chocolate fudge and I try and get her the newest book by her favorite author.

I love when my kids make me cards using my own scrapbook supplies. I also love it when they give me the simple pleasrues in life, like a box of redvines or bring me Starbucks.
For my own mom, I like to give her photos of the kids and flowers. She loves flowers, but never buys them for herself, so I know she really appreciates it.
