Uninterrupted sleep & U2.

U2's new album is out...and I am loving it so far. I downloaded it at iTunes (thanks for the heads up G) or you can check it out at Amazon : How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb. I will try to give more of a review after it has had a chance to sink in...

Last night was fun. LOL, fun in the "this sucks" sense. Simon woke up at least three times last night. He is such a good little dude that when he gets up and comes out of his room he shuts the door. The problem is that he does not gently shut the door but rather he slams it shut. In one sense this is good - it gives warning that he is on the loose and I like that he is into closing things after he has opened them. In another sense...it wakes us up.

Chris' new tactic is to head him off at our door before he makes it into our bedroom. We have changed sides of the bed so that he is now on the side closest to the door...hence making him the "addressor." When he hears the door slam he immediately jumps out of bed and walks Simon back to his own room and into his own bed. The problem for Chris arises in that he can not get back to sleep. Once he wakes up his brain is in fully overfunctioning mode. Go, go, go. He can't relax enough to fall back asleep. And then he gets grumpy. So we are back to the drawing board.

Not sure what is causing Simon to wake more frequently. He seems to go through phases where he will wake a couple times a night...and then not wake at all for a few days or weeks. Whatever the reason Chris is at his personal wits end with his own sleep.

And it is the Tuesday before Thanksgiving which means there are things to do to get ready to head to the coast.
