Gentle Reminders.
Tags:Okay...so many of you know that I love Martha Stewart...or at least the magazine/image empire that she created. The photographers. The set design people. Man oh man. The ideas. Always makes me want to clean, purge, and reorganize. Makes my heart go pitter patter.
Each month in the magazine there is a section called Gentle Reminders. Things to do/think about for the month. Here is a link to the list for February: Gentle Reminders.
Here are my favorites for February:
• Give your bed a makeover. When it’s cold outside,
a soft, cozy bed can become your favorite place in the house. Make it
worthy of that status by adding a feather bed or investing in a set of
top-quality, high-thread-count linens.
• Gather tax documents. Make an appointment with
your accountant now, before the rush. You’ll need wage statements,
investment-related paperwork, records of medical expenses, and receipts
from charitable donations, home-office expenses, and other deductibles.
And speaking of taxes...last year was the first time we used an Accountant. And it was WORTH every penny. I had been pushing to use one for a long time simply due to the stress it caused Chris (and I was definitely not volunteering to do it). A good solution for our family and our financial needs.
And, as a side note, a new title in the spirit of home.

I know that it probably wasn't meant to be, but a reminder on Martha's site regarding getting your financial documents in order is pretty funny! :)

I totally agree--the check to the accountant is worth every penny!! A bit ironic from that source but oh so true.
It's fun to dream about makingover every room in the house-one room a month would be good. Higher threadcount here we come :)

My mouth actually watered at the thought of organizing my kitchen. (Tell me Ali, did you mess up your room when you were a kid just so you could reorganize it again, if you say yes, then we were seperated at birth.) :)
