Great download.

Simon's communication assesment this morning went well. Chris was able to come too - that is a huge benefit of his job right now - the flexibility to come to these tests and appointments. His perspective is sometimes different than mine and tends to shed light and additional information for the doctors.
We met with a Speech Therapist named Sue. She and Simon hit it off great - she had cool toys available for him to dive right into (and of course he did). He was not super shy with her - he would look her in the eyes when she had something that he wanted (such as a toy) and she could see that he was "wanting" to use language to communicate (which is a big step in learning language - that desire). He did not initiate contact with her unless she had something he wanted. It will be interesting to read her report.

Thanks for the link! The idea generator was a great idea---it will come in handy some days! Glad to hear that your son's appointment went well--hope it's good news that he is wanting to communicate through language. Keep your chin and your spirits up!
