Indeed...
Tags:we were eating RED popsicles on a WHITE couch. Who in their right mind owns a white couch with a toddler? Once again, proof that I am not "right in the head" LOL (a very faint Braveheart reference for those who have seen the movie a bazillion times like me...counting four times in the theater). Truthfully - it is a GROSS couch and if any of you ever visited you would see it with a slipcover over the top - or hopefully we will have a new one sometime in the future. We live in a beautiful house with sucky furniture. Sad indeed.
NEWS FLASH: Chris went to the county elections office and filed to run for Lane County ESD (Educational Services District) Representative. Elections are in May. So far he is unopposed. This is the beginning of a public office journey...and you never know where this may lead. Coincidentally Chris is in the other room right now watching his favorite show: The West Wing . Hmmmmmm.
How about a First Lady with a passion for scrapbooking? Stranger things have happened...

This is so funny--my husband and best guy friend were just watching west wing and discussing the reason that Chuck (my husband) could never run for president is because I can't go more than five or six minutes without cursing. That and I couldn't attend to any of my First Lady duties before 8 a.m. because I'm sleepy in the morning.
I did the white couch thing too. The salesperson convinced me--absolutely convinced me--that the fabric protection would work well on white cotton duck.
Lies. All lies.

Wow!!! Ali, that's so cool for Chris!!! I'll keep my fingers crossed, and please keep us informed as to how the election goes! It's about time they had a first lady like you. It's about time I had a friend in high places. ;)
Denim couches don't stand up to kids any better. :P

And about the couch...we thought leather would wipe up easy. It does. Unfortunately, at the time, we had cats and the leather now is punctured and scratched. So, you can't win. You'll probably just whip up a slipcover anyway, Miss Crafty. ;)
