Just one kiddo.
Tags:Chris found a nice little article online today about Raising Onlies - as in "only child." We talk on and off about having only one child. For us, right now, this is the best choice. I am sure there are others of you out there - it is such a personal thing. Such a thing that you don't know anything about until you have your first child and face a whole new world.
Really, you never know what may come next in your life. One day at a time right?
And, as promised, another peek at the blooming daffodils.

Belated comment - we knew we wanted more than one but going for #2 we almost had 2, 3 & 4 - we ended up with 3. Careful what you wish for. :) It was terrifying then and scary once they came home but joyful now. We're outnumbered but wouldn't change a thing. You'll know in your heart.

I have a special needs child and we struggled with the thought of having more children. Would we be able to handle more than one? Would our child get all the help that he needed? What if the next one has the same issues? Would the other children understand? It took us 6 years to decide and I am greatful that God has blessed us with 3 more healthy and beautiful children. I never once regreted having more children and I never once thought that I have short changed our 1st born. We have given him what school and doctors can't---a family that loves him and accepts him as he is. Its very hard to balance it and sometimes our other children get angry, but I remember being that way with my brother and sister too. It builds character and acceptance of others. It is your decision and yours alone ( well, your husbands too!) Just know you will blessed either way.
