Monday : To Do
Tags:
One of my favorite page themes is showing a photo of hands and then journaling the story of all the things those hands do in a day - or have done over a lifetime. The Daily Word meditation prayer for today celebrates the blessings that come to us through our hands (and our hearts). I have seen both Gillian Nelson and Rebecca Sower do great pages on their hands. This is a page I plan to do sometime soon.
This morning I used my hands to give Simon his medicine (as you can see he is getting good at searching out hiding places when he sees me coming), to pour his juice, to type this blog, to feed Lily & open the door to let her outside, to lift Simon into bed when he came in our room this morning, to turn on the TV so Simon could watch the Wiggles, to plug in the camera to the computer to upload this photo, to open the fridge to see that I am out of coffee (yikes).
To Do:
• clean house for Regional Autism visit this afternoon
• grocery shopping (especially for the coffee I am out of)
• create updated layouts for color class & finalize presentation
• laundry...it is neverending even for just three people
• Fed Ex
• Burn photos to CD & print contact sheets
• Celebrate the birth of Kim's new baby...waiting, waiting :)
• Answer emails
• Follow up on notes from last weekend
• Dream Dangerously (according to my Living Out Loud dice)
Happy Monday - whatever is on your list!

Happy Monday Ali, welcome back! Go get your coffee, stat!! Ali, weird question but how old is that basket? I saw it in another picture and it's identical to one I have. It was my parents first coffee table, then became my toy chest and now it sits in my bedroom as a window seat for the cats. : )
Hope precious Simon is feeling leaps and bounds better.

I was just reading Rebecca Sower's layout lastnight about hands - I've always liked this quote about hands; from an old movie Witness with Harrison Ford:
"What you take into your hands, you take into your heart."
Out of coffee - AHHHH - crisis mode in my house!

Ali,
You crack me up girlie! Hope Simon is feeling better. His running away from Chris this weekend reminds me of life with David...he's always escaping our grasp and running off somewhere. Life with a three-year-old. :)
Oh...just wait until you're potty training Simon...laundry really never ends, although it has gotten better than where we were at a month ago when the whole potty training adventure began.
Get your coffee, and have a fabulous day! Oh, I just found a new coffee shop in Eugene--U Lounge Cafe. It's off Garden Way in the Chase Village apartment area. If the owners aren't working, service is a bit slow, but I have yet to be disappointed by the quality. If you're ever driving in this particular area of town, I highly recommend stopping by. We're spoiled because it's a 15-20 minute walk from our house. :)
Blessings to you on this wonderful day,
Crystal :)

I'll have a cup of coffee for you. :) Love your thoughts today. Always love that you make me think. I wish I was a list maker, alas I am not. Perhaps that is why I never get anything done.

Love the new banner, Ali! The way you're blurred--too cool! I love how perfectly it matches your blog title. And ooh how I also love to do lists...I have about three going at the moment! Today, this week, this month. :)

Happy Monday to you, too.
I am a list maker myself. Even on the days that I don't get through everything (which seems like most days), there's something about crossing things off that make me feel like I've achieved something. One of my best friend's is a list maker, too. I am beginning to wonder if it is a first-born/only child type of thing. :-)
I love reading your blog each day. Thanks so much for sharing.

I love lists... although yours seem to always be more intersting... I have "do laundry. Do more laundry."

Oh love the new banner Ali! Looks great.
Oh the medicine routine. My oldest is 8 and still cringes at the site of medicine. Whereas my 4 yo would drink the whole bottle.
Hope you have a great day.

Hello there, just catching up on your blog, loving every minute too. Love the new banner with S & C. Gorgeous! Love the idea of a LO on hands too. A mother's hands never stop but to comfort her little one, do they?!
Off for a coffee and back for more!
