The { A } List: Volume 1 Issue 1
Tags:Reading blogs = coolness.
I feel like I have seen so many new things over the last couple weeks through links from other's blogs. How cool that we can share things that we like, are inspired by, make us laugh, etc.
So here is what is doing it for me right now:
{ A } 1 : Pantone Universe. I am prepping for my CKU Color Class right now and am devouring color information. Pantone has positioned itself as the authority on color - and for good reason. This is their newest venture - an interactive online magazine "designed to be the ultimate online resource, with articles about fashion, home and beauty -- all through the portal of color."
{ A } 2 : Magnificent Wine Company House Wine. How could I resist that label? A reasonably priced red that makes me happy. All the labels from this company are black and white designs. So perfectly unpretentious.
{ A } 3 : This layout by Joy Uzarraga.
{ A } 4 : Black Composition Notebooks. There was a great article in Real Simple this month about lists and the people who make them. It inspired my to buy one of these classics again as a home for all my lists.
{ A } 5 : Finally getting my studio space back in order. I was living in piles for way too long. I moved the storage box-things out from the metal shevles and attached them to the wall. Made more space for more stuff, right?
{ A } 6 : So many nice people connecting with me through email. Thank you.
{ A } 7 : Chris taking time last weekend to purge his clothes collection. He still had things in there from high school (forgive the slight blur on this photo). He loaded it all in the car and took it to Goodwill. Nice work.
{ A } 8 : Encyclopedia of an Ordinary Life. Another Tina suggestion. Just started it last night. Buy it now.

Ali-
You are just so cool. The kind of person that I think would be really fun to talk to. I like your outlook on things and have loved checking out the "stuff" you think is cool. Stuff I may have never found on my own. Thanks!

Love lists! Love being shown what's out there. Love getting a reminder of what needs to be done.
Can't get half the stuff over here, but it's great to get reminders of a time gone past :-) Makes me happy!

Great list. I wish my library had that book!
Good job on cleaning up the studio. Cleaning up my workspace is a balm to my frazzled soul, I always seem to be more creative starting with a blank canvas.
Happy Tuesday

I'm with you about the lists - I love my lists and I think a notebook would be great, and you could even then have a list of your lists!! I found my Daily Desktop Planner a great sanity saver, because it is in full view, I don't forget things anywhere near as much.

Thanks so much for the list! You manage to find some of the coolest places. I especially loved the Pantone site. I think I've found a good color pallette for the house.

Ali~I'm now officially addicted to your blog, and all the other cool ones I've discovered through this one! I had no idea this 'underworld' existed. Just loving all the ideas & finds I would never have come across otherwise. I went out and bought 'Encyclopedia' the other day after reading about on Tina's blog.. fantastic book so far. Now if I could only get my dh to throw out his old Lacoste shirts, I'd be in business.;) Thanks for this great diversion in my day!

Ali,
I found your website and blog last night as I was just wandering aimlessly around the web trying to find some information about an idea book. Anyway, I was up for hours reading through your posts and I just have to tell you that I am so incredibly inspired by you. Your amazing talent, your courage and strength, and your remarkable sense of humor are all such wonderful quatlities that have inspired me - both in my scrapbooking and in my personal life. Since I purchased your book, I have changed the way I scrapbook. I now scrapbook "for" my child, not just about him; I talk to HIM through my journaling. The pages I create are a legacy for him, not for anyone else and you really opened my eyes to that. Reading through your posts I discovered that your son was recently diagnosed with autism and I admire your strength and courage in the way you've dealt with it. I don't know that I could do the same. Thank you for being an amazing scrapbooker and an amazing person! I hope to meet you when you are in Minneapolis for CKU and shake the hand of the woman who has inspired me so much. Take care.
