Lovely! I am inspired by those Pier One commercials right now, that are chocolate brown with an array of rich colors paired with it in a row. Have you seen it? I'm thinking about doing that in my living room.

Ooohhh, I know how you feel. Before we sold our house I took photos of every room, every little nook. Of course when they were developed I fell in love with my little house all over again and didn't want to sell LOL

Mike and I painted the dining room of our old house orange. Took us weeks to get used to, but now that we've moved, we miss it. Good news is the colors we chose throughout the old house were liked by potential buyers. Hope this is the case for you. Good luck with the house-sale.

What a great picture. It reminds me of something I would see in Real Simple - one of my favorite magazines. Also quite inspiring. I've been in my home for 4 years, and haven't really done too much in the way of decorating. Maybe tonight I'll work some in the bedroom. :-)

I painted a wall in my formal living room that same color orange and I love it! I picked it because it worked the best with the orangy brick on the fireplace. I admitt it was a little scary painting it.
Funny thing is that I put plum colored pillows and a plum throw in that room too! Its an odd combination but it works!

my husband and i did the exact same colors in our guest bedroom a year ago. we put the same two colors on adjacent walls, like you...how interesting. great taste ali.

Color is so fun to work with! I painted my kitchen cabinets barn red, and everyone looked at me like I was crazy when I told them what I was planning to do, but the result was stunning (just like your room's color scheme is stunning). I'm going to miss my kitchen when I move, but at least I know that the person who is buying my house is in love with the color. Good luck with the sale of your house.
