• mini-shopping carts at Trader Joes

Trader Joes: simply awesome grocery shopping - we went today after not going there for awhile and man it seemed like they had even more foods for our family this time around

• catching a ride to the workshops yesterday with Emily and Tricia - had the best time you guys - thanks for the great conversation

No Bare Pages Scrapbook Co. This store, right off I-5 between Medford and Ashland, is a gem. You never know when you go into a store what you will find. This place, was wonderful. Nice lighting, nice crop space, organized shelves, nice merchandising & samples, and up-to-date product selections. Man I love when they carry lots of new stuff! I came home with a bunch of 7gypsies I had not seen in person yet, some lovely Maya Road ribbon, and some very cool Distressed Effects rub-ons from Dee's Designs (My Minds Eye). And I loved the people - I swear the people make the store - friendly, kind, happy, and totally willing to help. Carma, you are my new best friend - thank you so much for inviting me!

• Meeting scrapbookers in my workshops. This time was no exception - it is always so cool to get face to face with people. Laugh with them. Watch them nod when I say something that resonates with them. Chat with them about scrapbooking - this crazy love we share for recording memories, playing with paper, gathering supplies. Thanks you guys, for being so welcoming and generous with your kind comments. Looking forward to seeing some of you again in November!

Such a cute picture of your little dude. Glad to hear you had a great weekend. You must come east and teach. And by east I mean east coast Canada. You can stay with me! I will give that Cathy Z's hosting job a run for her money! :) OK, I admit it...I'm not nearly as cool! :)

Oh, how I WISH we had a Trader Joes! I have read so much about that store over the years, I'd think I've gone to heaven if I ever got to shop in one! Simon looks like he loves the store - buy something neat, Simon!

    Ali:
I am a new scrapper, I was born in Roseburg Oregon 42 years ago and have lived in Mexico City for 30 years. I am visiting my Dad in July and would like to know the best place to shop for supplies in the Beaverton or Portland area.
I am absolutely your fan, your pages have made me cry more than once. I admire your talent.
    Heidi.

What a precious photo - Great smile, Simon! :)
I was in your {Perspectives} class [I was the one with the baby] and had an absolute fantastic time! I love my album and just need a few more pictures to finish it. DH even commented on how beautiful it was & even more shocking - he actually READ the journaling! He normally just glances and nods. Men! Urgh.
If I recall, I believe that I read you will be teaching it again on the East Coast - a suggestion - on the homework page, inform the participants to bring images cropped to 3x3.

Hey Ali- My little guy loves miniature shopping carts, too (although we don't have Trader Joe's here). My sis found one that looks just like the real ones- metal and everything at Pottery Barn Kids (in the store), and got it for him. He loves it and thought I would pass along the info! Totally cute pic....
