Bikes are cool.
Tags:It is official, the bikes are cool. Simon is not-so-hot about wearing the helmet, but once we get going he is pretty darn happy. He knows he has to wear it to ride in the trailer...he just doesn't like the process of straping it on his head...hence the above grump face in the photo.
Eugene has a ton of bike trails. Miles and miles. We rode from one park to another along the Willamette river - on a wonderfully hot evening. It was just so refreshingly cool.
Today Simon and I hit Costco. They have some good winter foot jammies and cool boys fleece jackets there right now - love stocking up for the next season. Also picked up a few goodies for my class next week...are you ready ladies?
Took a good long nap. And now I've got a nice cold beer and I am hitting the emails - if you have emailed me in the last month or so (yes, I can get that far behind...I am so sorry) you should be hearing from me very soon.

What a cute picture. Wish we had lots of bike trails here. I am so ready for class next week! Flying in on Tuesday; it is hard to believe it is finally here. Look forward to meeting you, and seeing the great state of Utah.

great picture!! we love to go biking, it's a great way to get out as a family and explore. Fleece, yikes! I am not ready to think about that yet, it was too hot today. Good idea to stock up now though - we're just figuring out back to school wear these days ;)

looks like fun! we always had a bike trailer when the kids were younger. The dog would even ride in there some times with them. They would fight in there but SOOO easy to ignore...ha!
Later we got trail-a-bikes for the kids...and now they ride on their own. Definately a good way to spend time outside.

Be careful out there riding your bikes! My DH was hit by a car failing to yield right of way over on 18th at Quaker this past Tuesday afternoon. Eugene is so set up for bikes, but that doesn't mean motorists do the right thing! Of course, if you're just sticking to bike trails...never mind! And make sure you hit the westside some time--you can stop at a Euphoria Chocolate shop right on the trail there by Bertelson and West 11th! They have frozen chocolate-covered bananas! :D You can ride out through the wetlands, see some wildlife (herons and geese and stuff)--yeah, that's my stomping grounds, love it out here!

Love the pic! We love to take bike rides, too... on Friday we went for a 13-14 miler that included an ice cream stop on the way home. Creaghan is convinced he needs a bike with gears {and he is probably right! LOL!}
