Good.

1. My luggage made it home in one piece - thank goodness cause my favorite jeans were in that bad boy (along with a bunch of mini-book samples I display in my color class).

2. Prepping for CKU-A in Provo next week. Making a couple changes to my presentation and approach in an attempt to get farther along in the album. If you want to see what I am teaching you can read more about it here. I see a few familiar names on my class list : now that is super cool. And I just like Utah.

3. Fridge is full after grocery shopping. Ate some damn-fine hot dogs called "Fearless" from Trader Joes tonight for dinner.

4. Embracing my mess today. What the heck else can I do? It is where I am right now.

"Embracing my mess" I love that. Our house is a disaster zone due to moving and a delayed closing. I am totally with you on the mess...I am there indefenently. Happy organizing :)

Whew!! Glad the luggage arrived safely -- especially since the fave jeans were inside!! Finding the perfect pair of jeans is right up there on the "horrible" scale with finding the perfect bra!! LOL!

Ali, Ali, Ali. You ask Carrie Colbert to go on vacay? My invitation must have been lost in the mail.
Glad to hear about your luggage. Mine has been lost on every flight I've ever taken. On the last one, coming home from Vancouver, the lost luggage lady said to me "that flight sends the luggage to the wrong place every Saturday night. It will be here on Tuesday" You'd think that if it happens every.saturday.night. someone somewhere in the industry would say "hey, every saturday night we're sending that flight's luggage to Memphis. Let's not do that anymore. And then we won't have to pay the lost luggage drivers to drive the lost luggage to it's home"
CKU Atlanta. That's where it's at. Make it happen :)

so glad the luggage is home.
I heard WONDERFUL things about your class when you were here in Dallas. I saw gals working on their album and was jealous. And I got to flip through yours and was in awe. Would've loved to have been able to take your class. Have fun making the changes.

Heyya Ali - sounds like CKU was a blast. Except for the luggage (crack up comments from kaylaaimee)
Clicked your link to the CKU class - and now I must BEG BEG BEG BEG of you to plleeeeeaaaaaaaaaasssssssssssseeeeeeeeee come to Australia - I am going to have a little tanty and stamp my foot right now (yes I know, Supernanny would say that is unasseppable behaviour....hmm, I wonder if my naughty square could have Brad Pitt in it for me to play with and distract me...). Sorry rambling.
Anyway, I would give my rights to listen to TripleJ radio for the rest of the year if I could get to a CKU - man I wish they had more things like those over here.
Ok, take care Ali and love the new blog banner!

Hey Ali glad to hear that your luggage arrived safe and sound. Nothing worse then wondering where it might end up.

So glad your luggage made it back and nothing was missing. That's the worst! Wish we had Trader Joes in FL but no such luck. Lady, I hear you on the mess. I can't even think in my house much less art room right now. Actually waiting for school to start so I can reorganize my life again! Ha!

Hey Ali - can't wait to meet you next week at CKU! I'm flying in all the way from hot, steamy Maryland to hot, steamy Utah...Woo hoo! Getting all my schtuff together - I had no idea I was so busy until I kept track of an entire week. :) Take care and enjoy your time at home!

Ali, thanks for sharing the class description. Having no hopes of ever attending a CKU-Canada, I'm going to try to do it on my own with your awesome instructions. Question though... Do you have an example of one of those albums somewhere on the net? I'd love to see what it would look like!
Oh yeah, I'm sure that I could get a thousand names for a petition for a CKU-Toronto! Who should I address it to? :)

Thanks so much for posting that link to your album project - what an AWESOME idea! By the way, you are so very thorough & organized... I checked out some of the other CKU-A projects, and nothing quite so wonderfully detailed as your homework and sketch. :) Hopefully there will be a CKU-A in Nashville next year - I'd love to be there. I'm challenging myself to document a week in MY life. ;)
