I do seriously LOVE going to CKU. And tomorrow I leave for another one - this time I am heading to Provo, Utah for CKU-A. So, so fun. Especially this one. There is something just so cool about spending more in-depth time with a group of scrapbookers.

When I am preparing for CKU (or any workshop) I spend time beforehand thinking about the people I will meet. For this event, I feel like I am going to camp - kinda like the den mother or something. Sending them good thoughts. Pre-bonding. Connecting with them cosmically. Yes, I know I am unique. LOL. Being at CKU-A means I get a really GOOD LONG TIME with the same group of women, getting a chance to know them better, to laugh with them, to share my philosophy, to learn from them, to groove with them, and to simply be together in a super-creative environment where we are celebrating our everyday lives.

Dude, I am excited.

So in preparation to leave I had to get some other things done today. The result of my labors: two mini-books, two scrapbook pages, and a tag (now remember, this is my job). One mini-book is a kit for the Two Peas Crop & Sale next weekend in Madison, Wisconsin. I will be there along with a bunch of my Garden Girl buddies. Chilling. Laughing. Hanging out. The other three items are for an upcoming issue of Creating Keepsakes. It felt really good to be creatively productive. Feels like it has been awhile.

In other news, Simon can't seem to keep his clothes on these days. On they go, off they go. And the silly-naked-kid streaks through the yard again.

Chris is enjoying daily tai-chi.

And I am still loving what I do...peace, folks.

Isn't it hilarious how kiddies just cant keep their gear on in summer?? Ivy is always burling around in the nicky-noo-nar in hot times especially when there is water from the hose involved. Good clean fun I say!
    Cheers,
    Lee :)

I drove up to my brother's house yesterday, just in time to watch his three year old son pull off the last of his clothes, in the front yard, and head off around the corner of the house. :0) Nice to know he isn't the only one who feels clothes are optional this summer!
    Have fun in Provo!

LOVED that stage with my kids...nuttin' cuter than a little bum on a warm summer day. My all time favorite photo is one of my now 17 yr. old (He was 3ish at the time) with 2 of my oven mitts on his feet, standin' there like sugar in the raw. *LOVE* it. Grab the camera, before it's too late!

I dont think many kids his age like keeping their gear on during summer - my little sister used to do it all the time.
If he is still doing it when he's 18....panic!

Hey Ali--I was there at CKU "with" you for the first time and I loved it. Loved your class especially. Thanks for all the inspiration and motivation. I've met you a couple of times now. I am the gal from Oregon who told you that you were the only person I would wait in line for an autograph from--well, you and Donna. I'm hoping to go to CKU-A next year, and no, I'm not stalking you, but I will take your track if you're going to be there. I figure if I get your autograph often enough you'll eventually start recognizing me and eventually know my name (I was also the one who told you about the Daisy Bucket at the the Portland CK convention--I'm on their DT, and now also on the DT for Fancy Pants Designs--their stuff rocks!) I love your work, your photography, your design, and most of all your writing. Love that style. And I love that it is how you talk in real life. Very cool.

LOVE that photo--so cool. Love it when "film" (somehow "media card" just doesn't sound quite right) captures a perfect moment of fun. So jealous of everyone heading to CKU--I'm sure it will be a blast!

Ahhh the running around naked phase. I've heard rumors that as a child I would go out the back door fully clothed and come in the front door naked. We lived next door to my best friend, a family that was very religious and were sure this was not a good sign for my future. I am happy to say I worked out all exhibitionist tendencies as a tiny child.

Such a fun picture Ali! Love the great expressions you all have on your face. I really need to get myself to a CKU someday. Would really enjoy your class!
As for the on again off again clothes... well I am there with ya. Mary Jean can't control herself and changes around 20 times a day! *sigh*. I have been told by many that it is just a phase! Let's hope!
