and back to work. This time it is SERIOUS. I have a big ole project (aka a book) that has a deadline coming up soon so I pretty much need to go into hiding for a bit...hiding as in serious scrap mode.

Looking forward to getting down to business. Feeling inspired and ready to go. The house is semi-clean. There are lots of fun new products to play with around here. Chris knows he is in charge of dinner for the next few weeks. We are stocked on coffee. The weather is cooling down a bit - at least it has that lovely little chill in the air.

Close your eyes. Take a deep breath. Embark.

Busy, busy through the end of the year. Wanted to give a travel/workshop schedule update. Here is where I will be through the end of 2005:

  • AUGUST :

    • 27th Southern Oregon Scrap Convention in Roseburg, Oregon (make & take from 2-4pm)

  • SEPTEMBER :

    • 7th -11th • CKU Kansas City

  • OCTOBER :

    • 1st • Photo Express in Maple Ridge, BC (outside Vancouver)

    • 15th • Art House in Portland, Oregon (9 spots left in Sunday class)

    • 22nd - 23rd • Colorful Creations in Cape Cod

    • 26th - 30th • CKU-A in Stamford, CN

  • NOVEMBER

    • 4th - 6th • Fairytale Weekend in The Netherlands (will be back in the Netherlands again visiting Pien's Atelier in late Feb/early March - would love to meet many of you from around Europe during my visit - so, so excited about both these opportunities)

    • 12th • Scrap Yard in Albany, Oregon

    • 18th - 20th • Scraptacular in Elyria, Ohio

  • DECEMBER

    • 9th - 11th • Scrapbook Xanadu in Avon, Indiana (working on details right now)

Scrapbooking is taking me to so many cool places. Places I never imagined I would have the chance to visit. Looking forward to many adventures to come.

Wanna see photos from last weekend's crop & sale? Check out Tara's blog. The one above is of my shirt and sweater (cardigans are one of the loves of my life...this one is from JCrew). Had to circle the A for a little bit of fun.

I love that chill in the air that signals fall. Down here it will get warm first for a bit, relief from the summer fog, then crisp around October. I'm looking forward to it, though. How exciting that you are so busy with teaching and traveling! And the Netherlands - I love the Netherlands. I'll be there in November, too, but not until the end of the month, but for my birthday as well. Another funny coincidence. :)
Good luck with wrapping the book project - email me if you need a cheerleader!

Hi, Ali. I was waiting for you to come to Vancouver. When I saw your class schedule this morning (thanks for the link!) and I signed up right away for both classes! I was planning to leave for Japan that day for my vacation, however sacrificing one day in Japan means nothing if I can take your class. thank you!!

Cool air?!!! You are torturing me. Texas is hot, humid and disgusting at the moment. I want cool air! I need cool air. And a cute cardigan to wear when the cool air gets here.

Great you're coming to the Netherlands. I'll certainly wil try and get a place when you're visiting Pien's. When you have a day of, Amsterdam is great but try de efteling. It's a fairytale parc and it's great. Not as big as Eurodisney but definitly worth wile. The winter opening is smaller then in summer but the greatest attraction's are open.
