CKU-A + The Netherlands • Day One

CkuastamfordThe last leg of my extended trip began today - actually yesterday on a flight from JFK to Amsterdam.

But I am getting ahead of myself. First, let me send out a sincere thanks to all the students in my A Week In The Life track at CKU-A Stamford. 117 women packed into one section of a ballroom for about 12 hours+ over a persiod of three days. Each time I am amazed at the process, humbled by the results of this concept. Giving women permission to let go of the notion of perfection, encouraging them to go with the flow...a little bit about scrapbooking and a little bit about life.

This time we had the chance to get a picture of the whole group (most of them anyway). Now that is one group of very determined women - many who finished their album...and many more who will over the next few weeks to come.

One of the highlights of this trip was having my Mom along for the ride. For the Stamford event she was a student; she prepared for the track just like the other students (most of them LOL), and then got to sit at a table with other women and scrapbook. Now that was cool. Mom made friends with a wonderful group of women - Jenn, Melissa, Stephanie, Lin, Abby, Glenny, and Flo - thanks for taking care of her and for reaching out :).

Those seven women also put together a dorm (and added Mom into the mix) of Ali-impersonators:

Their table centerpiece was a bunch of decorated letter A's, a red tricycle, and books covered with Designer's Eye copies. Hilarious. Silly girls.

Still have more to say but I am exhausted. Made it all day today without sleeping - slept a bit on the red eye over here - hoping that I will feel good tomorow. Planning to step outside the door of Heidi's house here and just absorb Amsterdam. And hang out with Flo :).
