Studio Friday : Round.
Tags:Got hooked up with Studio Friday again this morning. Looked around my space and spotted this scale that I bought last summer from a little antique store near our old house. It has a great round face. It has a story (I don't know what it is but it looks rich with life experience). It sits on my shelves just because I like it. Like to look at it. Makes me happy.

Ali, thank you for telling YOUR story to us :-) I know you hear this a lot but I must tell you again, what an inspiration you are to many many many people - especially me! I've been following YOUR story since you've been scrapbooking. Thank you for sharing Simon's story as well. I finally have some ideas as to how to go abouts scrapbooking about my son Vince who is diagnosed on the Autism Spectrum as well. Thanks again for making ME happy (as usual). Have a wonderful day!

That IS pretty, I love the old stuff ; ) You had a red stool somewhere on your blog awhile back that I LOVED! I need to keep an eye out for a metal stool I could paint.

Reading this I just can't resist showing you what makes me happy just looking at it. It's my new kitchen timer, and I've been showing it to everybody lately. I just recognized the feeling. Maybe you'll understand when you see it, it's too cute! (yes, kitchen timers CAN be cute, who would have ever thought that?)
Here it is: http://www.ian-logan.co.uk/fun.htm
I take a look at it every time I walk by, and I'm searching hard for reasons to use it (that is, to twist his neck, poor thing :) These little things can make the greatest difference, especially when the big things aren't great. Watching that Banana Republic film made me smile from ear to ear. So a late thank you for posting that.

And that my friends is what this world needs. Simple things- like round scale faces with stories- to make us feel happy. I wonder what would happen if everyone in this world had something tangible to look at, smell, hear or feel to evoke happiness within themself. I think it would be...hmmm. I don't know. Happy, I guess. Thanks for sharing. Tell your hubby I got my own blog if he wants to check it out. www.jodyferlaak.blogspot.com
Awhile back I had commented on his blog. He responded and read "my story". Now I have a blog. That's it. Glad you're happy and using your energy in this life to make others happy.

Mmm....it makes me happy too. Almost looks like a face. Or a Nick Bantock stamp pad cover.
Happy belated three oh! You definately rang in your 30's in style.
Glad you are back w/ the men and getting into your groove. And congrats on the CK column. Definately well deserved.
I was ALL ABOUT having my LSS invite you to teach classes, but major drama arose...maybe you can just come chill at my appartment and we can do a perspectives album class, lol.

Hi Ali, glad you're back. Your blog is what got me here, I followed your link to NavyLane a while ago and on and on..
Great scale! It looks like it could come alive, and have a Brit accent.
