One of those days when a reminder like that is just what I need. Truly, truly want to share this with my son who just turned 8 last Saturday (1/21). He goes to a Magnet school here in town with a fine arts focus & I love how the school encourages the kids to think beyond "their box" yet, playground & culture pressures encourage him to be like everyone else..be the norm..think the norm. Life is too short & he is too wonderful to settle for the "norm."

Hi Ali - #3 is extremely powerful for me. I work full-time and just started school (pursuing a BA at age 46) and the irony is, jobs that require the degree I'm seeking pay LESS than what I'm making now. People think I'm crazy but I know in my heart that it is not the outcome I desire, but the JOURNEY of obtaining an education. That's where the growth occurs.
You are such an inspiration to me and I LOVE that you share what inspires YOU with your fans! Thank you! :-)
