And the dude is now 4!
I can hardly believe it. He was so excited to have a birthday party. He helped frost the cake. He blew the candles out all by himself. It was a serious celebration.
Good times.

I was super lucky to get to stay at Chez Whitney this last weekend. The LIFE in that house is just amazing. The kids, the happiness, the way in which Tara and Jeff live their lives is really so inspirational. I loved watching her interact with the kids - just the way she talks to them is just so cool.

I also love Natalie. And her friend Torrey. Dinner Friday night with the two of them and Tara was so very nice. It was awesome to just get there and feel so comfortable all together.

This was very possibly the most FUN group I have encountered yet.
There were women from Washington, Arizona, Califronia (anyone from anywhere else?) and Chalk came all the way from Japan. Chalk, Miki and Misty brought me copies of their Japanese Idea Books - awesome idea books with super cool design. Thanks girls - can't wait to see you again in October.
The entire group of womean was rowdy and spunky with lots of chatting and laughing. It made for the perfect all day event.
Thank you all for coming to play, for your enthusiasm, your graciousness, the gifts, and the awesome laughter and cool connections. I can not wait to come back down there.

Ali, thank you for the wonderful classes. I don't think I've ever enjoyed a class as much I enjoyed Saturday's classes. It was more fun than some of the CKUs I've been to. You are an AWESOME teacher and the projects we did were so cool. Thank you! I can't wait until you come back in October. I'm also looking forward to CKU-SJ. I somehow even convinced (without really trying) my husband to go to CKU also and create an album about a week in his life too. I'm so excited about that! Anyway, thanks again for everything and I'm so glad to hear that Simon had a wonderful day yesterday. :-)

Glad you had such a wonderful time with Tara. Those were such lovely comments you made about her and the way she interacts with her children. I would be so proud if someone said that about me! I would love to be able to one of your classes, but being in the UK, that's unlikely, although I am in LV next week for CHA, so I might get to see you in person yet!!
