Karen ROCKS!!! And, it was her birthday yesterday! She's sUper sweet.

Karen is so nice. I have long admired her work. One day I left her praise on a layout she posted, and I couldn't believe it when she emailed me to thank me for my comments. Total class.

It was great when I discovered Karen's blog last week. I met her at HIA 04 and we had a really good chat. She is such a sweetie and it is so exciting about her new arrival due soon.

I went to Karen's blog and then I went to see the Narratives collection, and I realized that I had just purchased the gratitude transparent file tabs the other day at Ben Franklin's (perfect for dividing my gratitude journal!) I am one of those persons who just shops, never pays attention to brand or designer names while I'm shopping, just reach for what sparks me, so I would never have known her name or product line, but now that I do, I think that it's cool, and am delighted to see her success and yours, even though I don't know her or you...it's just this scrapbooking community...and you both being from the Pacific Northwest and all. It rocks! I'm so looking forward to CKC-Portland this year!

I just had to tell you how much I loved taking your classes this weekend. They were the best I have been to and I have taken classes from a lot of cool people. But the best part was when I was all done journaling in my Today You book for my son Mitch I let my husband check it out and he had tears in his eyes. It was a perfect moment for me and made me realize why I do this. Not for the names and dates but to share what is in my heart that in a busy life with four kids doesn't always make it to my families' ears.
