Preparation = happiness.
Tags:Been busy the last couple of days - getting ready for 2006 classes to get underway. This weekend I will be at Scrapbook Attack in Portland. Come by tonight from 6-8pm (RSVP at 503-641-3554) to chat and hang out.
I have been swimming in boxes with product for my classes. I think the UPS man must wonder what in the heck is going on here. I always laugh and think that he must imagine that I am just a stay-at-home spending machine. I bet they see so many crazy things.
Next weekend I will be heading down to Irvine, CA for workshops through A Million Memories - and I get to stay with Tara which is totally going to be so, so happy. Can't wait to connect with some new women as well.
And then it will be time for CHA (Craft & Hobby Association)! I have never been to the BIG winter show so I am so excited. Lots of people to catch up with and new products to see. I am giddy. Hoping to bring some updates to you from the show if I have a chance.
A couple people in the comments have asked about my Christmas Album and Art Journal. I plan to give that some attention here soon. I am going into a busy couple months...but I will get back to it at some point. LOL - that is just how it goes.
And thanks for all the awesome emails that have come through lately - be patient with me - I hope to get back in touch with you soon.

This photo is awsome, it really makes me want to sit down and get creating!
I've been reading your blog for about a year now. I've been watching and reading and thinking about scrapbooking, and last night I made the leap! The layout has a Christmas theme, and was made entirely out of Christmas cards, ribbon, photos, etc. Thanks for the inspiration, Ali. I'm hooked!

I love to see that your space is "real" and not picture perfect like so many I've seen. I keep wondering how they create in such a sterile environment but yours just feels good! You can see the creative energy almost in your pic...
and is that HS lip shine?!?!
I love that stuff.
love your blog...keep posting pretty lady :)

Elizabeth already beat me to the HS lip gloss!!! LOL!! that is awesome. Zoe lost mine so I have no clue where it is at.
and thank God I am not the only one who has a pile o' stuff on their desk. i try to tell DH that it is normal and it is art so just deal with it!!! He isnt buying it though and thinks that I am a total lazy slob. But I disagree and say it is creative genius at work!

Totally cracking up about the at home spending machine. I feel the same way with an at home biz. The delivery guys are so curious you can tell. I get so many giant packages of fabric that are probably not clear what they are. Then I send stuff out to business with the silliest names. I bet you get much funner deliveries!

I just found your blog and love how you manage to portray things IN THE MOMENT. Your work, your life, just as it's happening. I'll have to come back to read much much more... and I'm sure you already know about it, but this month's Mothering magazine is full of really interesting articles on treating autism. I read it cover to cover.
