Meet Mighty Max.

Max
Meet Mighty Maxwell. One of the mightiest little guys. He even has his own website. Max was born two months early and diagnosed with a genetic disorder called CHARGE Syndrome (you can read more about CHARGE here). He spent the first six months of his life at Children's Hospital in Seattle. And he is the cutest little dude.

In traveling around the country and abroad I get the chance to meet so many amazing people. I am humbly reminded that everyone has challenges and success, that we are all oh so human, and that there are ways we can help each other out - sometimes in the simplest ways.

Max is the nephew of one of my favorite store owners, Elizabeth, from Treasury of Memories in Bellingham, Washington. The store also has a blog. One
of the special things that TOM does each year is host a 20 Hour Benefit
Crop. This year the crop is being held on March 31st, with proceeds
going to the "Mighty Maxwell Guild" supporting Children's Hospital and
Regional Medical Center's Uncompensated Care Fund (and gifts for
long-term patients and families). TOM's goal is to raise $10,000. For
more information you can call the store at 360-715-3125.

And, they sent me this cool shirt :).

And, thank you so much for all the awesome comments and support on the book. It is in the final stages of design right now - meaning it is all laid out and is being reviewed and reviewed. The hopeful availability time is June 2006. I am totally excited for it to become "real."

I am heading up to Portland tomorrow for the Creating Keepsakes Oregon Convention. Looking forward to catching up with lots of fun people.

Hope you all have a great weekend!
