I love Oregon.
Tags:Had the chance visit one of my favorite stores yesterday - No Bare Pages in Phoenix, Oregon (just south of Medford). I love this store. Lots of 7gyspies, Chatterbox, Narratives, Making Memories. Cool stuff. Great people. I made friends with Carma and Val when I visited their store last year - it was my second time teaching. They were super gracious and cool and laid back. Absolutely had to go back again with a couple of new projects. Total good times.
After finishing up for the day I was so excited because I will be home for the next week and a half before traveling again. Of course there are things that I need to get done over the next 10 days, but it almost feels like a vacation - and that is WONDERFUL. I did nothing much related to scrapbooking today and it was a welcome break. Took a nap with Simon. Set up a pool for him in the backyard. Cleaned out his closet (get ready Florence) and started cleaning out mine. Tomorrow I will attack emails and the rest of my to-do list.
And that happiness post from a couple days ago totally got me thinking - I want to be able to read good stuff like that all the time. I totally found myself smiling as I read along. So I am starting a companion blog to this one called What Is Your Happiness Today?. I would love for it to become a place for people to share a bit about their daily happiness - it is so inspiring to see people cherishing those little things that bring great joy. Can't wait to celebrate those things with you.

Hey, I like the variation in papers used on that album! That's the same one you've teached us in the Netherlands last year, right? Got me thinking, I should do a favorites album each year and I really like using the same concept, but in variations over and over again... guess I know what project to start this week! (have to do something while getting nervous for that job interview, right?)

I know that this is a couple of days old, but... My happiness for today is knowing that it is only one month, 4 weeks and 2 days until you come to NZ for the Crafting Connection 2006. Get ready to be swamped with adoration and start practising your handwriting, cos we love getting autographs, lol. Looking forward to it Ali, and to seeing you. If you bring Simon, please introduce him to us. We love kids.

I've bookmarked your happiness blog Ali and I know it will lift me whenever I feel down.
Isn't time at home wonderful? Often in questionaires I get asked what my ideal holiday is, and so often I want to say "just being at home", where I can relax, sleep in, play in my studio (well, corner!) and chill out. Of course, a beach out the front door would be wonderful too!!

Well, that class looks like so much fun! What is weird is we will be in that area next week and the week after!!! Too bad the schedule of the class and our trip didn't go together.
My happiness - hearing my grandkids call "grandma"! Just makes my day and puts a smile on my face! My oldest granddaughter is 20 years old - it was wonderful when she said would call "Grandma" and my youngest grandson is almost 4 and it is still just as wonderful!

Ali,
Your happiness blog is a fabulous idea. I placed my entry for the day already. In this day and age there is so much negativity, I think we all need to sit back and realize our happiness! thank you for helping me to realize mine! Simplicity is key!
I received my CK magazine today. Love your column, love the layouts. I have always loved layouts with lots of pics. It was funny seeing your pics from DC, my honey and I just got back from DC last night. I took him on a surprise trip for our anniversary (June 9). Very cool! What an awsome place to visit.
Cheers,
Karen

Happiness for me today was watching my five year old FINALLY figure out how to throw overhand for T-Ball! Oh, and getting off of work in time to be at her game.
Also, I am still pouring over the pages of this month's CK - yours was a very cool article, as usual. Happiness is having tons of pics of my three wild, crazy, amazing kids to scrap. Wow, they're cool.
Last, happiness is the MANY compliments I've gotten on the 7 gypsies book we did at your class in Hermiston a couple of weeks ago. SO much fun. Have a great time at home over the next few days!
