HUGE Oprah fan... LOVE that quote!!!!!!! I've been working hard on making conscious choices that will help me live every day to its fullest and to "live my best life" (another Oprah quote).
My happiness today.... I really enjoyed "last holiday" (goes along with that "live every day to the fullest" philosophy) and we're going to the renaissance festival today just me and kev. :)
what makes me happy? it sounds very cliche, but my family. My wonderful husband and children, they keep me on my toes, we run from activity to activity, every ounce of energy I have is reserved for them (except those occational girl get away weekends ;-)) and I wouldn't have it any other way!!
My happiness is being creative today while the menfolk are gone. I bought two book projects from Club Scrap and actually made them. One was a flag book that turned out ok. The other one was an actual binding book that turned out great for a first attempt. Thanks for the reminder of happiness.
Thank you for that quote!!! I am a people pleaser at heart! I like people to be happy! Yet, I realize that I can't make all people happy all the time!
Right now I am stressing about getting costumes done for the Native American Culture camp that I am directing. I feel nervous that the children/parents will be upset at me because I won't have their costumes done by tommorow! Yet I have to realize that I was sick all last night and all day today....It will be ok that the children get them on Tuesday!
Have a great day!!!

My happiness today....two years ago on Father's day my mom was admitted to CICU after suffering a heart attack. I spent a day in airports and on airplanes to see her.
Today, two years later, she's healthy.
My happiness is achieving my goal of getting a job on a creative team. I work with such talented ladies, it's truly a privilege to be considered as good as they are.
Great quote. Thank you. My happiness today was watching my two sons play in the sand at my father's lake house. They were having such a good time. They are 4 and 2 and everyday they find some new adventure. I love watching them discover new things. They shoveled wet sand into a wheelbarrow for over three hours today and loved every second of it.
Loved the Oprah quote...printed it off to pop on my fridge! My happiness today is having a day with nothing to do and a husband outside using his new golfing toy he got for Father's day! Blessings to you Ali!
oh ali.....that's the root, isn't it, being clearer about who I really am--so difficult in my "controlled" world...THANKS for the quote!
my happiness--I know Jesus loves me...I know He totally accepts ME...what a comfort...
(cool tags! need an assistant?! :))
happy day,
Mary Ellen
Wow!
I'm printing this quote and carrying it with me. I'm so guilty of pleasing everyone else and always forget about me. Thanks Ali for the great quote!!
My happiness today was sitting at church with two very good friends and walking around the art fair in our town.
Although I'm not an Ophrah fan, this quote hit me like a ton of bricks!!!
My happiness today is being able to rest, relax, let my mind do it's work and reflect on the joy of it.
you're awesome, ali - and wtg to the simon dude for riding his new bike :D
my happiness today is that it's my middle son's 4th birthday. i can't hardly believe that 4 years ago today i became mama for the second time around...and that the only thing better than being a mom to one was being the mom to two. :)
GREAT quote, working on that "me" thing a little at a time...
My happiness today is knowing my Dad is in Alaska for most likely his last Father's Day. He was diagnosed with cancer one year ago. He had a year of chemo, it didn't work. The tumors have spread to his lungs.
He is taking the trip of a lifetime with help from a wheelchair. We didn't think he would make it. I thank God that he is in Alaska right now.
I'm a lurker on your web site, but just had to share my happiness. Today my aunt changed her mind and decided to continue to fight her cancer with "just one more" round of chemo. We're so proud of her...
having my family so close, we know when we will see eachother next...like today for father's day! my parents are such wonderful, warm people, and am so proud of all they have overcome and accomplished! and watching my daughter with them, just instantly fills me up with joy!
My happiness was spending a lovely family weekend with my husband and son in beautiful Banff, Alberta. It's only an hour from our place but don't got there nearly enough. No phones or email for 2 days...glorious !!!
