We've been picking the odd 4-6 berries out of our garden this past month (a few a week---not many plants), and each time the flavor screams in our mouths with juicy passion! Last night for Father's Day my Mom had squished local berries for dessert---ah, heaven in a bowl :)! Nothing like local Oregon berries! We need to get out and pick some ourselves this week! Enjoy your bounty!
Man - you've got my mouth WATERING!! I am about to head to the grocery store to get some ingredients (aka more oregano) for the "manly-man meat rub" that I put on my blog for my "Recipe of the Week"... I just may have to pick up some strawberries now that I've seen the ones you guys got at the berry farm!! YUM!!! (oh - i also have a TON of baby food jars so i may be making some strawberry jam with it for christmas gifts! keep an eye out on my blog if you want the recipe - i'll try to post it next week with a pic!) :)
this pic reminds me of the one in ck this month with the dew on the flowers . . . i think i will do that with my next quart of berries . . .a little mist and just the right light . . . if i can resist eating them before i take the picture! enjoy!
Yum...Oregon strawberries. The taste is pretty hard to beat. I have to tell ya though, I'm a bit jealous. Thistledown Farms used to just call out our names once strawberry season came. Enjoy that yummy goodness!

I know u get a ton of comments a day. Don't know if you'll ever see this one, but wanted to tell u something. :)
I was sitting here reading the July CK. So happy that you have 2 segments in here this month. They rock my world. ;)
I was just thinking about how beautiful Simon is in the pictures- the baby layout of your fav. pics of him is just so cool.
I remember checking out all your beginning pages over at 2 Peas from way back. So it is neat to see how your style has changed/progressed/grown. I'm so blessed every time I read what you have to say. Thanks for making me see something new or different in product, or my story every month. Can't wait to see you in July in TN.

Now they want some fresh-whipped cream to go swimming in. Don't deny the strawberries, Ali. ;)
