Creating Keepsakes and Simple Scrapbooks have a liscensed version of both magazines (a combo issue) produced in Japan. Pretty cool to see stuff I made in there. Since I will be traveling to Japan in October for the first CKU in Japan (they have a website here) - can you believe that - they interviewed me for the June issue. I will be teaching a class on design and the students will be creating a little mini-book about their home. Big time adventure. Seriously amazing opportunity.
Working my way through some emails this morning as I pack up kits for Scraptacular this weekend. So looking forward to heading back there - one of my favorite stores.
Simon and I had a fantastic time at the pool yesterday. I think Chris is going to take him over there today. And we are looking at getting a video camera...that should be cool in and of itself.

Hey, Ali! Boy, only 3 more months till CKU-J! You're goin' love Japan in Oct! Wish I could attend but will miss you by a month...going to Japan during Thanksgiving Break! My copy of CK/SS hasn't come in yet but am looking forward to reading your interview...it's the one you did @ CKU-A Chicago, right? Hoping to see you @ CHA in a couple of weeks (I'm assuming you're going)! I'll be the crazy Asian chick w/ the white NSA (National Scrapbooking Assoc.) tee on! LOL!!! Have a great 4th!!

Ali - we're Australian, but have been living here in Japan 10 years now and we are SO EXCITED about you coming over for our first CKU in Tokyo. You're in for a wild adventure - and we look forward to seeing you in October. We're meeting with Sun-K on Monday to talk about volunteering our help. If there are any questions you have about life over here - just let us know... we'll give you the REAL info! Scrapbooking is pretty new here and about to BOOM.
