Have you seen this?
Tags:I love this guy. Totally a little feel good movie. And feel good is good.
Edited: So I just watched him again for the third time. I love this concept. I love the "lightness" and the joy of it. Doing something just for fun. To see if you can do it. To bring something to life that that didn't exist on its own before. My August Studio A column is all about creating a series - how much fun it is to do something in a group, where one thing follows the next. Taking stuff that already exists and making it into something else. Coolness.

I smiled all the way through this video and sent it to some very special people. I, too love Deep Forest, have a CD library full of them.
Thanks Ali, for another thought provoking blog entry.

What a cool idea indeed. As I was watching it I was thinking how I could apply that concept to my scrapbooking. On a small scale, I could take pictures of my children in a certain pose at the different adventures we go on this summer. On a larger scale, I have e-friends from all over the world. I could have them do "the pose" or hold a sign up in a place that is special to them. They could email me the picture and a blurb about it. I am so going to do this one! Thakns for the inspiration!

I just pulled pictures from each of my daughter's 4 (so far) birthday parties -- to show the evolution of her love of all things CAKE. 1st bday was all timid and tasting tidbits. She's full on face full of icing and grins now. The discipline that creating a series (as we go, rather than in hindsight) is such a lovely challenge!

Thanks Ali for sharing that video of Matt. It made me realize that there is more to life than the mundane daily work we all do every day. We all need to have a little fun in our lives.

Wow! That was the very first YouTube video I saw way back earlier this year. I watched it so many times and emailed it to EVERYONE I know. I read every bit of Matt's website too! I loved the idea that he basically dropped out of his normal everyday life and just started traveling (and dancing). Did you see that he actually started his website so his parents could keep up with where he was? So cool. Thanks for reminding me about him!
