Daily Happiness Blog.
Tags:Trying to get back in the habit with my Daily Happiness Blog. Sometimes all we need is to be able to share in what other people are happy about to adjust our own attitude. Doing some sort of daily gratitude list (I remember first reading about this sort of thing in Simple Abundance) is important in keeping your life in perspective.
In finding the link for Daily Abundance I hit on Sarah's website - if you have never read her Simple Abundance book I highly recommend it. It is one of those that I have gone back to several times. Reading and re-reading. She has a great message on there about dealing with clutter and getting out of the "mess."
I think I am going to pull her book out again and set it on my bedside table.

Sounds great, i will have to read the book ... i have a similar outlook - but find sometimes you slip back into your old ways! Its always good to challenge yourself. I often write down 5 things I am thankful for at the end of the day, even if its a little thing like having a coffee .... it was still good and needs to be embraced! enjoy your day

This is a great idea. I started a 'gratitude journal' several years ago after reading this book. At the time, I really didn't think anything about it. However, recently I picked up my journal and read through some of the entries. It was very inspiring and uplifting to revisit some of the litle blessings from that time period. It makes you realize what REALLY matters most. Thanks for the inspiration Ali..I will definitely start this up again.

this is great ali! i'm so glad you're getting back into your happiness blog :) i loved it! i'm looking forward to it again :)
i also LOVED the article from Sarah and it really inspired me :) I have definitely gotten into a cluttered, unhappy place in my home (which is totally stressing me out in other areas of my life), so I'm going to take tonight to organize, sort, and declutter.
Thank you!

Read this book over 7 years ago and just drank it up. It really pulled me out of a slump and helped me love myself again. I'm having another "slumpy" time and need to pull it out again. Thanks for the reminder!!

I just finished doing a 31 day gratitude journal on my blog. Its made me look at life in such a different way then I ever did before. Funny, it was based on Sarah's book. When I got the book many years ago I didn't get it. Now I do. And even though I am finished with the 31 day journey, I find myself still seeking an additude of gratitude. Its been great for getting through tough days, I have found joy in the oddest moments and in simple things.

Interesting... how we all seem to be flow in each others 'energies'.
I (and two friends) have just started a women's circle.
This is our first project.
Synergy.
Love it.
Peace to you Ali.

I've been visiting your site almost daily ever since I found you via KZ's site well over a month ago. Thought today I should come by and finally leave you a comment! And here you go mentioning the Simple Abundance book. So few focus on what they don't have and Sarah opens the door wide open to see, view things different.
Hope this books gives the guidance you seek on the clutter bug area.

OK... I'm tired. I meant to write so MANY focus on what they don't have and so FEW realize the abundance in what we have today.

I've been ready Simple Abundance for over 10 years now. I read a passage every day. Then when I'm done on Dec. 31, I start over again. It takes a couple minutes each day to really set me off on the right foot.

After reading Simple Abundance years ago it became my "go to" gift for all my girlfriends. Everyone can benefit from alittle self reflection!

I read this book a long time ago and just yesterday or this morning (can't remember because I feel like I've been spinning in circles for too long) I said to myself that I need to start doing a gratitude journal again. Because it always has the capability to shift my attitude. And that makes all the difference. And I've been doing too much concentrating on things that are draining me and this is not how I want to live. I need to take control again and get organized in the mind. LOL! :-) So it's so comforting to hear that you are doing the same thing.

So glad I am not alone in my quest for simplicity, nut just the clutter around me...but the stuff 'inside' that gets in my way At least within the land of blogs I've been able to find solace among kindred spirits! I'm afraid most of the gals in this neck of the woods think I'm in some menopausal melt-down. They just don't get it. I've also read Sarah's books several times...I was SO thankful for the link to her daily messages. The 'dust' is finally starting to settle. Thanks Ali! You're a peach!
