GO CHRIS!!!!!! I just checked for the 10pm results and its looking good.

Got to go to bed, but I am feeling good vibes on this one. I am so glad the Democrat's are taking over the state and the country. Congrat's to you so far, I am sure there will be no sleep for either of you tonight.

It's a great night for Democrats in Oregon! We've won the House, the Senate, and kept Ted in office! Congratulations to Chris...to all of you! Woohoo!! Good luck in Salem!

I just woke up watched the news and they were talking about the elections. I ran upstairs to see how Chris is doing! So happy he is now on top, GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CHRIS!!!

Ali, I have butterflies in my tummy waiting for the news. It's late Wednesday afternoon in Australia. Such an exciting time for Chris and you and Simon. I'm hanging out to see the final result!

The Daily Show/Colbert Report just started...that's where I get most of my US political news. I'm still not sure what these elections are about; I mean, there were elections 2 years ago...what are these for? *confused* I even asked an American friend to explain it to me...perhaps I wasn't asking the right Q's? =P
And I have a few degrees of separation from Chris! My friend in WA went to a concert a few weeks ago hosted by the Oregon League of Conservation Voters (a pro-enviro, non-partisan org.). I read her review, which linked to their site and checked out the list of endorsed candidates. And for #14, Chris Edwards' name was there! That's my story. =P
Ali, I pray that God's will be done. If it means Chris serving people in this manner, then I pray that he may be blessed with wisdom and humility and grace, too. No matter what happens, may you be surrounded by friends and family who love and support you. May God bless you all and keep you in the palm of His hand.

I'm in New Zealand, so in one sense this means nothing to me. Except it does - for two reasons.
What happens to politics in the USA effects all of us - war in Iraq and so on.
And having met you Ali at CC2006 in New Zealand, and reading your blog regularly, I can't help feeling Chris would genuinely make a dfference that matters.

I have been following the results since I got home from work. I am in Hermiston, Oregon and am watching the results on KGW news, from Portland... I just heard them say Chris' name & that he was still ahead. It is so exciting to see the tenative outcome of this race for you all.
I wish you both best wishes for the end result to be the same. I truely believe in what Chris stands for, and I am proud to say he is from Oregon.
