One of my favorite things is that my parents like to take photos. If they have been watching Simon while I am at an event I can pretty much count on coming home to a CD full of photos from their time together. So totally cool. The above three are a couple of my favorites from while I was in Japan. My Mom and Dad are so good at capturing the essence of Simon. And they are great at moments. Don't know that I could ever really express my thanks to them.
Catching up on stuff around here today. Simon and I ventured to Target this morning and had fun checking out all the Christmas goodies on the shelves. Picked up a Dora Christmas DVD
Do you have a calendar for 2007 yet? I have been working on a Life Art 2007 Wall Calendar on and off for the last month or so and I finished it up last night. Click on the "view calendar pages" from the link to see each month's design. Each month features a theme "word" and creative thoughts related to that word, including a prompt for creating a layout. This would make a cool holiday gift for a creative friend. Huge thanks to Katie Pertiet at Designer Digitals for use of her digital papers and elements.

I love the photos- what sweet parents! I respect my parents and love them so much more now than when I was younger! They just get cuter with age!

Beautiful calendar...and you have totally inspired me to create one of my own...so much better than store bought. Who better than ME to know what will help me be creative throughout 2007!
Love the pictures of Simon that your parents took. I think it is really sweet that they do that for you so that you don't have to miss out on an of the precious moments of his life...your parents seem to know the "essence of you" too -- since they do this for you and allow you to come help the rest of us be creative while keeping you totally "in touch" with Simon's life.

Love the calendar. One quick question. Are the thoughts you've listed for each month "scrapbookesque" or are they general thoughts that would apply to anyone in the creative arena? I'm thinking Christmas gift for my brother, the graphic designer, not the scrapbooker! Your answer is greatly appreciated.
