Don't know if you read these, but just wanted to send you a note. I have seen your pages in the scrapbooking magazines for a couple of years now. Just got your book. From looking at your pages, I guessed you had a special needs child, probably with autism. Now, looking at your site, I see that is the case.
I also have a child with autism, also named Simon. My Simon is 11 years old, in 5th grade. One of the comments you made in your from the beginning post was "Simon is Simon". So true. My Simon is perfect just the way he is. Yes, we do everything we can to get him the help he needs. We advocate for him at school and in the social service system. But he is perfect the way he is. Right now he is in his room putting together a lego star destroyer with over a thousand pieces. You have that to look forward to!
Just wanted to say thanks for sharing all your pages that detail Simon's journey. And for giving me ideas about ways to document my Simon's journey. And for this site where you are so honest and point people toward places to get information and help.
