Hee! My mom worked when I was young and our pastor's wife watched us...she was sooo cool, she had a special bed in an extra bedroom JUST for JUMPING on...she also had sparkly red pumps for playing Wizard of Oz, and let us splatter mud on the back wall of the parsonage (outside, of course).
Interestingly, she was also an amazing artist ;)
I totally let my daughter jump on the couch today :) Gotta get those ya-yas out somehow!
mmmmmmmm....love the Danny O print - I have the same one hanging in my art room - it inspires me!! Love the pic and love that you captured such a fun naughty mo!
Great mom you are!
This is so cool! I just redid my son's baby room...to a new big boy room with a bed of his own. He LOVES it and they always have to jump on the bed. it's a kids life that way! No protesting unless harms in the way. No worries!~hee
TFS! Love simon's room & border so cute!
One of my favorite childhood memories is when I was about five and we would jump on an old mattress that was behind our house for hours. I only let me son jump on the bed when we stayed at hotels. No wonder he looked so forward to trips.
What a handsome little man! I am growing to love that little face of his almost as much as my own girls'. So expressive, so innocent, so wonderful! Almost makes me wish I had a boy of my own. Almost. ;)
I so want to jump on a bed now, but mine is most definitely not sturdy enough for jumping. I wonder how much fun the couch would be.......
it was all fun and games at my house with bed-jumping and couch-jumping until we went to a friends' house and my children clambered atop their couches and began jumping!! imagine my horror!!
This photo makes me happy! He is so precious... his facial expression reminds me of Camden (my 3yo). LOL And of course I let my kids jump on the bed (when I'm with them), it's totally fun.
Yes, it really is FUN! When my son was 6/7 we would have jump time to 3 of his favorite songs on a Mickey Mouse CD every night before the bed time story! Great bonding times!! Jump on!
Dude! My daughter partakes in this activity sometimes daily... I think it would do us all good honestly... and get rid of the grumpies! Here's a link to her landing on of her jumps: http://christyfamily.blogspot.com/2005/04/1-2-3-weeee.html

Jumping on the bed is awesome. It's a simple joy that kids don't get to experience very often.

It IS fun...until you do a belly flop -- then, not so much (heh-heh).
