Hello from Virginia.
Tags:Flew into Washington DC this afternoon to meet Marirosa & Ashlie for the Get Croppin event this weekend. I am here to teach with Danelle, Margie, and Donna (pictured in photo above). So cool to be here with these ladies. Love the chance to hang out and chat and play.
And PLAY we will. Tomorrow morning, bright and early, we are going on a tour of the White House.
Yes, THE White House.
I am so excited I can hardly stand it. When I was here last year I got to go to the Washington Monument and see the White House - this year I am going in. This is kinda like Disneyland for me.
I wonder if I will be able to sleep?
I am sure I will have some good stories later in the day tomorrow.
And, amazing - once again you guys are so awesome. Over 100 of you have made donations...which met the Monday goal of 100...so now we need a new GOAL. Give me a day to come up with a new number to shoot for...thank you again for your wonderful support.

This would be a great weekend for a fun crop/class. Wish Illinois was a bit closer to Virginia. LOL Enjoy and have FUN!
Enjoy your tour of the White House. Why not leave a scrap magazine for Mrs. Bush to enjoy?

Hey Ali...
I've been watchin the numbers on the Autism donations rise a heck of a lot faster than the temps here in MN. I bet you could shoot for 353 by Monday! It's the weekend..it's payday for most people..there needs to be more awareness of Autism and it's awesome how all of us scrappers stick together like FAMILY! Blood is thicker than water..let's reach 353 by Monday! I"m in!!! Have fun in Washington. I would love to get there some day. It's on our list of must see places with our kids. have fun PLAYING all wknd w/new scrappy friends too.

Hope you are having a wonderful time in DC. I went to the White House a few years ago and seriously, DC was the best vacation I've ever been on and the White House was my favorite part. We had gotten a private tour because my uncle was in the military at the time and had some "connections" I guess you would say. It was really cool. So excited for you!
Looking forward to meeting you in a few weeks at Youngplay Memories!

Ali!! You're here! So exciting! I am on a mission to get over to Dulles Expo Center and meet you, meet the other fabulous ladies and, of course, get a photo for my scrapbook! I love your pages, design ideas, and handwriting!! Have a great time here in the DC/VA area.

How about a goal to feed some hungry street children? I know of an orphanage in Acapulco that could sure use some help.

WOW! Ali, this is just putting tears in my eyes to see all this wonderful work going on. Since we doubled my goal in January, I think you should double yours. I put it out there to you!
Love ya!

That is a great picture of the 4 of you!
Try to resist the temptation to snatch something from the White House. Keep your eye on Donna!

Hi Ali (from hot, humid Brisbane Australia!!)
Here's my "humorous" creative manifesto:
1. use your hands (paint, ink, sand, texture paste...hmmm)
2. drink good Aussie wine (white or red or rose)
3. have music on LOUD - preferably Sneaky Sound System, Eskimoe Joe, Silverchair, John Butler Trio (must buy these next month LOL)
4. ignore husband when the creative itch needs to be scratched (unless he does the scratching...)
5. give boys a cursory glance and standard phrases or encouragement/direction (unless nappy needs changing)
6. SCRAPLIFT and feel GOOOOOD about it - and then email them about it (unfailing adoration makes them FEEL good too)
7. don't take this TOO SERIOUSLY - it's really only paper n stuff - no need to follow every trend (remember the 80s?? - yikes!)
I do have a more thoughtful one...but this one is more FUN!!!
Be STRONG!!
