I've gotten some emails that Kevin Bacon is on the Ellen show today - it sounds like he mentions "a woman from Oregon who's son has Austism has raised more than $12000..." That is cool!
We've got eleven days left until the end of the contest (ends on March 31). We are number two right now (see the top 10 here) but I have a feeling there are going to be some big jumps in numbers here at the end. It is already starting to heat up again.
Let's make our number jump.
Remember, the contest is based on the number of people who donate vs. the total donation amount (which is certainly nice too). $10 is the minimum. Maybe chat with your co-workers, the people in your mom's group, other family members, your favorite email list - or have your spouse or significant other donate as well. Each individual donation counts (one per person). If you are outside of the US you could email a US friend or relative and ask them to donate on your behalf (you need to be a US resident to donate).
To donate, simply click the donate button on the large badge to the right.
We can totally make this happen. I would love to see us get over 500 donations today.

OMG I was watching Ellen and Kevin's conversation then all of a sudden he mentions "this woman in Oregan, who has a son with autism that has raised over 12000-15000$" I was jumping up and down and felt so giddy that he had mentioned you!!!!!!

Wow, you were on Ellen and you didn't even know it! I just watched the clip from the link you provided and I think it's tremendously cool that Kevin Bacon gave you a mention. Fantastic!
I emailed a link to your blog to a friend of mine that has an autistic child- she is involved in many online communities and her son goes to a special school, so I asked that she pass this along to those people who are all also champions for this cause. Hopefully they will donate as well :)

I don't know you but I do know this cause, quite well, as my 5-year-old is high-functioning ASD. I donated and hope you are the top person for this. Great job in getting the word out!
